On June 23, 2022, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration in West Salem, WI. Upon approach, the driver would not identify himself. When he was asked to step out of the vehicle, he put it in drive and took off from the traffic stop. Weeks later, the suspect had a visitor and instantly regretted answering the door.

Today’s world is swarmed with politics and conversations that are often misleading about our law enforcement officers. We feel it is vastly significant and imperative to show these interactions in their respective environments to inform and educate the overall public.

They literally just lied to the guy and manipulated him into giving up information. SMH. This just shows that they should have a how to deal with the police video for every state. All this trouble bc the car had an expired tag. This isn't heroic or worth celebrating. It just shows that police will lie and be manipulative in a situation if it benefits them and most people are not taught how to deal with that. Talk to any criminal defense lawyer and the first thing they'll say is don't trust anything a police officer tells you.

The police officer was able to recognize that and chose to deescalate and peacefully bring him in. They knew davonta had a violent past they could have been physical with him and got the job done quick, but the police officers chose to take their time do the job right. Very well rounded situation. Great de-escalation techniques, suspect came to his senses and realized he would have to deal with what he's done despite the trepidation he was feeling. Even let him have a smoke and tried to calm his nerves. This situation could of went south real quick

@@michaelw234 officers also more trusting that he doesnt have a gun in that hotel room, some officers arent that trusting and for good reason. Cops can die in a fraction of a second, but people wanna believe the best about random strangers on the internet 😂this guy nearly ran over an officer and tried to scam him way out of it. Feel like the cop at the door is an experienced negotiator probably goes to calls to negotiate with threats.
