I've done 20,000 miles in 18 mouths on my bike which is identical to yours. All for pleasure just did 3,400 miles around Europe over 20 days. I only ever use Urban setting and as long as chain is adjusted correctly (it's got to be right) the throttle is fine. I average 57 mpg. Keep up the good work.

Good information. I did adjust the chain yesterday as I suspected it might need doing. Not ridden it since. Hopefully it'll do the trick. Ride safe and thanks again - appreciated 👍👍

Yep, I share your thoughts about the NT, I bought a six month old manual model with the voyager pack, I have done some of the upgrades as you (as you know)! including fitting the quickshifter that I absolutely love! I actually think the NT is a bit of a wolf in sheep's clothing, not high on kerbside appeal but a very quick road bike if you want it to be! suspension, balance, weight and brakes, all excellent. Very stable in high winds too, I did a tour in Cornwall the first week of June, it seemed everywhere I stopped someone would walk over and talk motorbikes! I'm off to Scotland in July, I can't wait 😀 Oh, I call mine Norman (NT = Norman Tebbit) the bike is the same colour as him to!

Excellent review. I have covered 13k now on mine and love it. The same 2 issues I also have. Mine is the DCT version and trying to feather that throttle on loose ground is a challenge with the weight not helping.

I agree. Great bike in most aspects apart from that. 👍

I have the 2024 Honda NC750x DCT but if they sold it here in the USA I would buy it yesterday. I can only pray .
@CodgerBiker2 ай бұрын
NC750x was my first choice. My friend Maurice has had one for years and rides on all terrains with it. But I could not get one at the time and so bought the NT1100. I do not understand Honda's worldwide marketing. I'd really like a CT125 Trail, but we don't get that here. Daft!! 👍👍

Sounds a looks great in my opinion, but i am looking at the NT but which one should i go for dvt or manual its just an age thing as im 61 now and looking to change my K1600 all the best mate
@CodgerBiker4 ай бұрын
Try them both I did. I can't live without a clutch, but plenty of people do. I had an Africa Twin DCT, superb. You can't stall. But I missed nearly 50yrs of clutch control so manual from now on for me. Your results may differ. I am same age. Here's the DCT when I rode it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIOlg5p7mZh_h9Esi=z9kPqBzoYCk3oMrz

Thanks for that video, always a good impression and fun review. I have commented before about your bike to replace my ageing 2011, 1200 GS, air/oil cooled, which I love, but has 52k on it now, 80k on my last one. Which is still lighter than the NT, (229kgs full ). But is EURO 3 , likes 98 Octane, will run ok on 95, but “pinks” under load. And 98 is becoming less frequent. Struggle in France, and not common in Scotland. Never wanted a water cooled GS, too heavy, and the 1300 GS is far too expensive, so BMW has finished for me sadly. Unless they put a R12 nine T engine in a GS frame…. Ha ! I live in the NW, like you, I’ve been to two Honda Dealers, Blackpool and Chester to try for a NT test ride and they are only DCT, which I don’t want. So it has put me off. But the NT is the only bike I would consider to replace my BM, and they do a lovely Red one now. Honda seem to be really pushing their DCT’s. Cheers, keep up the fun vid’s 👍🏻

Hi Mike. Thanks for kind feedback. It's just my hobby and don't take it too seriously. I got my bike from Youles, Manchester. They did have a manual demo last year. Maybe worth a call. And yes Honda really are into auto. E-clutch and DCT. Personally, like yourself, having a clutch is like having 2 wheels, on a motorbike - essential, part of the ride. There's always the new V-Stroms, the road going version looks interesting. Just a thought. Thanks for watching/commenting, it all adds to the fun. 👍

Hi dude, although you live not so hot country, do you feel some engine heat on your legs in city trafic on some hot summer days? Have a nice time!( I love all your videos, funny and informative)

Yes. It is a hot bike. My boots get warm especially when the fan comes on. Nice in UK (mostly), but not ideal on 25c+ days 🥵 Thanks for nice comments 👍👍

Things I love is a good title. But ... I do not find information on something. We all know ... no screen adjusting whilst driving, no heated seat, no shaft drive! But does it have TPMS ... (Tyre Presure Monitoring System)? I do not find it in the specs ... so ... It probebly doesn't. But that would be again something missing.
@CodgerBikerАй бұрын
Cheers. No it does not have that. But there is a 2025 model inbound, so maybe worth checking the options on that once it emerges. 👍
