This song reminds me of the first time I went to Colorado. My wife and I drove from Texas to Estes Park. When I saw those Rockies it made me shockingly emotional. My wife loves the fact that I wept. Lol it was the greatest vacation I've ever had. Mainly because I did it with my best friend.

I married my husband on 8-11-14 in Morrison, CO. We stayed for 9 days and loved it there so much. He passed away on July 21, 2018. I miss him so much. This song thoroughly rips my heart out.

My stepson thought a lot about his family back in Colorado, he told his mom this song helps him while he serves in the marine corp in twenty nine palms ca. 3D Lar battalion. LCpl Sloan tragically perished in a car accident Nov 15 2020. Rip! LCpl Sloan, you did go alone my son a piece of all of us went with you when god took you home. Mack grew up on the Western Slope in a small rural town in Delta county. Had 40 in my graduating class. The late 60s and 70s were golden then. Still up not affected by the outside world (out staters moving in) and the change they brought. They wanted to leave that behind but all they did was change it into what they left with their money and influence. Sad. I left for the Navy 1984 and never went back. Like the old saying, you can always go home, but you can never go back in time. Fucking sad.

Was at Red Rocks July 13th for my first time at RR. I actually got goose bumps and a lump in my throat while he was there as he sang this. It was simply the best show i have ever in my life been to and I do not believe there will be anything to compare to it, unless he plays there again. If he does, you can bet I will be there. Cody Jinks, We love you and thank you for the music you have blessed this land with. You didnt just “rock” that place. You owned that place and that moment and that was yours. You got there. Fuck Nashville. It was an honor to be there at that show. We were in Mankato in March, just got home from Colorado and will See ya in Sioux Falls @ the District on the 18th as well. #ImaFlocker

Majestic Minotaur - Born and raised in Northern California. Humboldt, Trinity, Shasta counties have been my playground. Moved to CO for a few years. Got married, had kids, moved back to CA so the kids can meet their older family before they pass.. They say there is no place like home, but I found a better one 9000' up in the Rockies that may have been Heaven's staging area. I think about Colorado every single day. Hope I die there.
