Unless you get the official My Heater Hose, you have to use the Mr. Heater Filter or you will gum up your heater with the oils from non approved hoses. We always use the filter regardless. Stay warm my friends!
@davidelliott400Күн бұрын
Need to use a filter for your Buddy Heater. The oils from the propane hose (chemistry) will block the orifice and cause the heater not to work or work intermittently. It's about $15 for the filter. Don't have that issue when using the small propane bottles.

We just moved to Morrilton, AR from Alaska... got here in mid-November. It hasn't gotten cold yet; BUT, I always love your Arkansas videos. What a cool place you found... and the little waterfall pool was gorgeous. I will definitely check this out. You guys are great, I hope we cross paths sometime. All the best to you!

Have you guy's ever heard of the top down fire starting method? I discovered it a year or so ago and its amazing. Look for some videos about it, once you try it, you will never start a fire another way most likely. Everyone I have turned on to it is blown away. Basically you stack wood like a log cabin with the largest logs on the bottom and smaller ones as you go up and you do them in rows of three, Criss crossing each level, then put your kindling fire starting stuff on top and light it and that's it, It burns and drops down and once started, the fire last super long with zero intervention. Also by having the flames on top of the logs with this method, you get way less smoke. Total game changer, give it a try.

Your Mr. Heater Little Buddy should have an inline fuel filter on the hose, when using the bigger propane tank. The hoses leach a small amount of oil into the gas, and Buddy heaters will clog pretty quickly when that happens.

Sweet potatoes and yams, I do almost the same, swap cinnamon for pumpkin pie spice. Tastes like pie. For an electric heater, we use a 3 ft 1000 watt KING portable basebord in front of the front step. Silent running.

Ty for sharing. Word to the wise … y’all need to purchase a lil buddy heater filter if your using a hose for use with a bigger tank , that hose will start leaching and clog up your heater. Just a heads up for ya.

Turn that Buddy heater upside down while its off and cooled down and let it sit for a while. You should notice an oily residue dripping after a while from the pilot light. It should work better after its drained. Had the same problem with mine and that worked.
@CodyandKellie2 күн бұрын
We'll have to try that, thanks for the tip!

There is a Mr. heater Buddy fuel filter ($14.00) highly suggested to use when using a LPG tank and hose like you were. It should keep any moisture from going into the heater. There are some videos about this.

May need to keep the tent flap open just a little bit on one of the windows or near the door so it doesn't suffocate itself.
@akgobears3 күн бұрын
Word of advice...when using your little buddie with a larger propane tank, you might want to get a filter as the buddies tend to gum up with the larger tanks and you have to take them apart to clean it up(Saw this on KZbin) ...This may or may not be your problem....Stay safe, be well...
@snowbirdlady72212 күн бұрын
What a great spot! I love that someone added their special touches for others to enjoy. I get cold easily so I can identify with you Kellie. Have you two ever tried down or insulated vests? I wear them often if I'm doing something active, but its cold and a big YES to fleece gloves too! Cody, the only reason you caught a fish was because you were so sure you wouldn't 😂

You need to use an inline filter unless you buy a Mr. Heater Buddy brand hose. Generic hoses release a slime that the Mr. Heater Buddy doesn’t like. Just watched a video on it last week.
