Though, I respect him as a player and love his role in the melee story just the way I love Leffen's obnoxious behavior of trash-talking. I thought the HBox era of constant jiggly-puff wins was looking pretty grim and I wanted someone to dethrone him badly at the time. But not like this.. Damn Cody is a great teacher. Being direct and blunt with these critiques without being rude is tough, but he nails it. Hope that Hbox can train his mentality. The people that are accepting online and grinding the hardest on it are def the ones that will stay ahead of the curve once offline comes back. Hopefully Hbox becomes one of them.

IBDW is probably the hungriest right now, reminding me of Leffen on the comeup (Ginger too but IBDW's mentality seems more...extreme). Mango is trying to establish GOAT status (legacy). Zain is trying to maintain King status. HBox is...not sure at this moment but can never count him out. But I think perhaps HBox feels he doesnt "deserve" it right now because he put his foot off the pedal. we all know how intensely concentrated and focused he was when he was trying to be the best.

hbox is definitely not being confident enough, however its false to say the difference between online and offline is purely mental. there is a frame-data difference, and that difference should be recognized and accepted for a healthy mentality.

At some point it's "grow tougher skin" but also at some point he's just a Melee Sandbag. Even if the community doesn't majority hate him anymore, it's still a meme to be toxic about him. And probably always will be.
