Hi there, I see a few questions about this recipe not including coffee as an ingredient so I want to explain. In the US, coffee cake gets its name as it refers to a cake that’s meant to be eaten in the morning with your cup of coffee.

You need the $1k cooper mixer that has a 1.3 hp D.C. Motor that last so much longer than your AC 325 Watt baby mixers that obviously you burn through. Pastel Blue, Copper then you have a Black one now.

Tested this recipe today. I'm planning on making it for Christmas breakfast. It was incredibly delicious! The cake was tender and fluffy. A bit tangy from the sour cream, with a hint of salt. That streusel topping was my favorite. Oh my goodness! My family raved! I think it'll be a huge hit at our big family breakfast! (One thing I did notice....it caused a lot of dishes to create, BUT so worth it!)

I made this like last week because he posted the recipe on his blog and it’s really good. I lowered the amount sugar in the cake cause my family isn’t a huge fan of sugar. I definitely recommend baking it if you have the chance.

I made this tonight and it's delicious. I used yogurt instead of sour cream, added a few shakes of nutmeg and sprinkled crushed pecans on top. I buttered my ceramic 9 x 9 pan without using parchment paper and it was easy to serve out of without sticking. I had to cook it 58 minutes. This was really a winner. Great balance of sweetness and the cake was not too fluffy or not too dense.
