I was very touched and admired you so much for speaking so honestly about the narcissist in your life. You must have done a lot of personal work to be able to say that this person is a narcissist but also has some lovely qualities. I struggled with my narcissistic mother all my life and now she has dementia 😢. It’s difficult to grieve for the relationship I never had with her. You are amazing, thank you for all your help ❤

It’s difficult for me to grieve too. My mother has Alzheimer’s. I love her and hurt because she treated me the same way she was treated and abused. I was the scapegoat/black sheep and abused by my parents and siblings who followed her lead. So now in my 50’s I’m struggling right now to understand it all. Plus going going through perimenopause with little helpful support🥹. So happy healing to all! ❤

There are a lot of great books to help with this. Go to Barnes and Noble. I have dealt with this same situation. Narcissistic family member who then became sick. It is a psychological battle. But you have to put yourself first or walk away. Just because they are related to you does not mean they can bring you down! Peace in your life is worth more than the constant stress they bring. YOU are worth it. And find a mental coach to help guide you through this.

I too want to say I really appreciate the graceful way you briefly described how you managed to place and enforce boundaries with the narcissist in your life. It is very difficult when it’s a close family member. But it helps when more people speak about it, especially with the level of grace as you did. It shows that with education on the narcissism and how we can manage the challenging relationship to the best of our abilities and resources, we can live better lives, and yes, break the generational cycle. I’m 55 and I can attest that it’s never too late to live better!

@@MistressGlowWorm I’ve noticed a significant decrease in hot flashes and night sweats. Almost gone. The best way to check hormones is not in the blood but a saliva test. It is cheaper. My levels are within range for a menopausal woman. I think that if you don’t feel like yourself or experience more serious symptoms, then you need to consider HRT., My symptoms are not bad to the point of crippling my life, but I’m going to have an MRI to check my visceral fat, and also check my bone density. If the results are not good, then I will consider other alternatives Curiously, while going to physical therapy for a sciatica problem, my doctor advised me to use a cool pack at night on my back before bed. I bought an extra large one and put it inside a pillowcase. I lay on top of it and go to sleep. It helps tremendously with any night sweats you may experience. I don’t wake up at all. I bought mine off Amazon.

Do they not provide HRT in Canadastan ?. I'm in the States, but it's hard enough here to get help for Menopause. I got 5 yrs. of HRT through a local Naturopath. I'll be honest and say I tried so many different compoundeds, oral pills and even a vaginal supository, but most forms gave me bad side effects. This was years ago in 2007 when I had the hysterectomy. The state Drs.all refused to even brooch the subject with me,-- yet I saw them hand out Viagra to men like candy. I observed this for hours, so I said to the FNP " Wow, I noticed every man in the office got their Viagra," She roared " They need it to stay healthy !". When it came to my mentioning horrible pain when I sit on my err...whohaw, I got the speech : " How dare you ask about that. It's a normal part of aging, so deal with it !°. It really burns me up. I'm thinking who has sex with these men ?. Many of their wives are surely suffering, too. Or are all of them going to bed 25 yr. Olds ?. It burns me up how much time has been wasted because the Medical fields are ignoring half the population. NOW, times have really changed... they asked me if I'd like a sex change !. I'm serious, They tried to sell me on the idea like used car sellers. If I had to stop HRT because it can cause cancer, why would they give me a cocktail of drugs and hormones ?. It's crazy !.

Been to Midi twice. Your appointment is only 30 minutes so you have to talk fast. You won't see the same doctor twice unless they schedule a follow up with you. They are happy to prescribe HRT but the doctors I've had so far are a little strong in their opinions on what you should do rather than what your asking to try. Overall, it's a great, quick option where your being heard and offered help. 👍

She is not concerned about being pretty (i dont think the concept of physical beauty has entered her head) or smart. If someone asks how old she is she looks at them like they have come from another universe but she will tell you she is strong. She finds her own little challenges that build strength and endurance and recognises that each day she is growing stronger. I think she takes after her Mama.😊 I want to be hiking and camping and surfing to the end.

@@HLTrds I hope you check them out! I’ve heard about OSCAR. Maybe they can work with it. I was paying for visits, labs and compounds out of pocket for my HRT for 7 years before trying MIDI with my insurance. It was too expensive to pay out of pocket. Either I keep working to pay out of pocket or retire and find another way. I want to retire!

I'm going to start refusing to be weighed at the doctor's office. WHY do they still use the scale as standard? It's so stressful now. I gained weight through menopause changes and have about 25-30 to lose. But I started weight training again. Maybe I will drop some pounds but I expect my body comp to change, which is a much better measurement. Plus, then they take my blood pressure after the scale!!

I adhere to a vegan lifestyle, and upon reaching the age of 45, I experienced a notable deterioration in my overall lipid panel. At present, being 48 years old, I initiated the usage of bioidentical progesterone roughly three weeks ago, resulting in a discernible reduction in my blood pressure from an initial reading of around 139/82 to a level below 115/ 68. I am excited to attain my lipid panel results after 2/ 3 months, as oddly enough, my triglycerides and cholesterol went through the roof when I started noticing signs of perimenopause at 45.

Hi Dr. Haver, I went into menopause at 36 due to premature ovarian failure. I opted out of HRT bc of the cancer warnings associated with the studies. I now know that isn’t true, which is very frustrating given the amount of suffering I went through for 8 years after (still experiencing some symptoms) I took soy supplements to relieve the hot flashes and night sweats. I developed premature ventricle contractions and take verapamil. I’m currently experiencing hip pain. Wondering if it’s too late to take HRT? I will be speaking to my gyn about it, but not sure if it’s too late to get on HRT. Thank so much for these videos! They help me so much.

I used transdermal compound progesterone for years . The Doctor that ordered it for me has been studying this for 20 years. He said oral progesterone is least effective because it passes through the liver first , whereas applying it to the skin it’s absorbed quickly.

Sorry to step on any toes but I have to speak out after seeing your supplement choices... There is research that shows that the structure of NMN changes to a less bio-avaliable form when exposed to any heat. There are only a few makers of these supplements, and VERSO is the only one who cold stores its product. The only ones I'll use! Second, resveratrol is also not very bio-available and the better form is trans resveratrol. Taking them both together is 🔥
