do yourself a favor never call out come in or answer the door unless you know who's there! i lost a friend of mine she was married to a man she loved with a passion, but one day while her hubby and i were at work she was followed home by a monster a freak that deserved to have what he did to her done to him, her murder cut her throat and he used a meat clever to remover her legs it didnt matter that she was 8 months he had a leg fetish! the nightmare begins when you are standing there with your best friend who sees his whole world has been ripped away from him and seeing her there is like someone branded that picture into your soul, the man was caught on security cams trespassing, throwing her legs in the river! you can know someone for half a decade and think wow what a decent person but later find out they were totally the opposite, i had another buddy who seemed like a womans dream but he wasn't, i found out the man was stalking his own woman, she worked as a bar tender, and if he thought some guy hit on her or gave her a large tip he would wait until he guard was down, he was a master at manipulation she a master at hiding his abuse, new years eve 200 was the night her nightmare ended, when he pulled out a gun threatening to kill her and himself, he was heard screaming at her then one gunshot was fired into a wall by luck it didnt go through and hit someone outside, he then out of manipulation, and it makes no difference if he knew there was another round in the chamber or not he put the gun to his own head and pulled the trigger! shes married now with children and hes just a forgotten nightmare laying in a grave 20 miles out of town

My English grandma (I also have a Chinese grandma so this is how I differentiate between them) died when I was 15, I loved her so much and she was an amazing woman. I can't understand how anyone could steal from their grandma, especially one who would do anything for you if you asked. My grandma was never well off, but she would do anything for her family. The thought of stealing from someone like that makes me sick. My grandma lived to be 91, she outlived my grandpa (her husband) by 41 years and never remarried because she loved my grandpa so much. I don't know why this part bothers me so much, but there's something about stealing from your grandma that feels especially low to me.

I'm glad you mentioned Pitcher. You should do a video on the tragedy there. Part of the tragedy comes from Senator Imhoff, a known climate change denier that somehow got onto the environmental committee. His constituents in Pitcher needed his help. But he ignored them and deliberately short changed the people on a buyout of their properties. Some of these homes were hand made and in families for three or four generations. There was a lot of handmade woodwork in these homes that could never be replaced. He also wasn't willing to buy out the entire town, just the places that had been affected by a sinkhole. Most families that were driven out couldn't afford to start anywhere new and a lot of those with children needed medical care to help their lead poisoned mentally impaired children learn to cope. This was a town that provided lead for America to fight two world wars, IMO they should be treated with the same reverence we treat veterans. There were piles of lead laden dust, called chat piles, all over the town in the open and kids would climb all over them. Yeah there's a reason I call Imhoff "I'm huffing glue."

In my state working as an emergency dispatcher is a 50k per year salary. It's hellish, traumatic work that doesn't pay nearly well enough for what it is. Feel free to take her job if you think you're up to it. To most of these people anything that puts food on their own table is their biggest concern. Not defending the 911 operators demeanor but lots of occupations like that have incredible burn out rates that just make people stuck in that profession just not care, I worked in a call center last year and I was just loosing my mind with the rapid fire nonsense and just the worst possible situations ever. I recall dealing with a woman who couldn’t access her money due to some legal order and she was a single mother of 5 children under 7 while taking medication for her heart problems, she didn’t have the cash to get her medication because of this and just kept rounding back to “what am I going to do?” No answer I gave her was enough but the answer was the same, call the legal entity that enacted the legal order and sort out a payment plan so that they will release her funds and not do this garnishment they did. The curt behavior and requesting description of a scene is to get as much information without leaving room for over complication. Still the operator can definitely have been a lot more helpful in this regard

A lot of jobs in the medical field are traumatic, underpaid, and physically and mentally demanding: you can still be professional regardless. And surely they are trained when it comes to trying to calm someone down, instead of making the person feel worse than they are, like they're inconveniencing their day. Our brains literally do not distinguish between fact and fiction: it distinguishes _experiences_ and all experience is equally valid to the human mind. It's only on retrospection that we attempt to come to Concensus. The reason no one talks about this is because if you open up this can of worms, we need to start talking about the fact that violent media _really does_ affect humans negatively, and too many gamers are afraid to have that discussion. We had discussions about humans being desensitized to violence decades ago, and we've seen firsthand the result of what happens: more violence becomes the norm.

@@AtmatanThere’s been a ton of research done on this subject that has already concluded your line of thinking is wrong. Humans regularly stabbed, shot, tortured and raped other people far before violent media ever came into existence. Humans now are overall much less violent than they used to be. The experience of actually walking into a house and seeing, smelling, and potentially touching a dead body is much different than seeing an image of a dead body on tv. If you’re unable to distinguish these things, you have very one dimensional thinking.

It would be impossible not to be affected by that and to compensate that with a measly 50k salary is just a slap in the face. Would you want to go that job? I know I wouldn’t. Is the rudeness excusable? Not really, but there IS a reasonable explanation for it.

The address was given or verified 3 times FFS and the 1st time the housekeeper gave it was *IMMEDIATELY* as the call begins. The ending comment from the Operator *"AND IT'S A FAMILY?"* ..... WTAF?! WHO CARES! WHAT A STOOPID QUESTION! Just seems a 911 Operators *"GO-TO LINE"* is *CALM DOWN* even when, like you said, this lady was fairly calm considering what she'd just witnessed. You are not correct here. In order to raise a narcissist child there should be a specific upbringing pattern. Even if the person has genetic antisocial traits it's still possible to raise a child where child avoids forming narcissistic personality disorder. So of course parents play a role in the way he grew up.

@@laniakeas92 to be more direct, they spoiled him rotten & did not make him accountable. Monsters like this occur when there aren't really any boundaries in their upbringing. I DO have sympathies for the family. They probably saw a boatload of potential in the daughter & decided to positively focus on her & just give the son whatever he asked for @ 1st just to keep him out of their hair. And whenever a kid/adolescent gets whatever they want, that is a boundary-less upbringing, thereby ticking most of the boxes of narcissism & possible sociopathy. It sucks. Poor parents didn't realize this...& probably not being really exposed to this type of psychopathy before...they just didn't know. Sad all around.

As a parent myself, they definitely made choices that I wouldn't have madd as a parent but I also see how easy it would be to be blinded by love for your child. I've seen all coffee house videos & alot more and seen cases where parents were straight up abusive to nearly perfect and the kid still turn out crazy. As a parent THAT Is what I'm saying is scary. Let this be a lesson to all parents. No matter how much you love your kids, if you TRULY love them, teach them from an early age the necessary life skills of responsibility, accountability, and working hard for things earned rather than being handed everything to you on a silver platter with no consequence. Don't enable your kids' worst traits lest they grow up to be entitled narcissists. Rest in peace, Katherine. Your too-short life is the biggest tragedy in this whole mess.

That's really simple. That's cause 90% of those threats turn up to be empty or "pranks". From the other 10%, some may mean it but never go through, so you have a TINY % of people following on those threats. The simple reality is that like ALL civil services in US - 911 and police don't have enough people to investigate preventative. That combined with low barrier to entry the police force in most places, is a recipe for stuff like that happening.
