@Jasper Percabeth Believe it or not, most of the major corporate scandals in this century and even today are still uncovered by old school journalism. Just a few examples include FT's reporting on Wirecard, Olympus, and many others, as well as WSJ's coverage of Capital Assets and of course the old school Enron scandal. I'm not saying that independent investigations are useless, but it takes big papers with resources to take on huge corporations.

If you can record it legally, record it. If you need to write a receipt, write it on anything, gets a signature, get what you can because you don’t know what you might need. Use crayon and scrap paper if that’s all you have, DOCUMENT DOCUMENT DOCUMENT! And don’t toss it just because it isn’t immediately effective, it can be handy later. If you don’t, that’s how you lose a lot of money and resources, whether that be to some big scam or just a (previously) trusted friend. WRITE. IT. DOWN.

Wall Street traders have a great deal of trust placed on them. Their entire reputation can be made or lost with one trade. So the majority are above board. They may hype up a stock or overpromise to a degree, but that's Marketing 101. So long as the final result is close to expectations, it's fine to fall a little short. So yeah, traders are, as a rule, trustworthy, because their job depends on it.

Back in 2016 I looked into really really disgusting and depraved stuff. 2 years later and everything was deleted and I couldn't find it with 6-7 different search machines... Had to go to the deep web to find the stuff but luckily I saved most of the evidence on a USB-stick... gave it to a friend and he uploaded everything to the same deep web site 😅 I was 16 at the time and thought nothing could disturb me... oh was I wrong, I'm still fucked in the head because of it and changed drastically

I get the feeling that a lot of these "victims" know that they are participating in a scam and hoping to get out early enough to profit off of the misfortune of others. This is the dark side of investing and if you are actively participating in it, then you get what you deserve. Regardless, this is phenomenal journalism.
