+Will D I think so. John Travolta is one of the weakest actors in the show. Courtney B. Vance is arguably the strongest along with Sarah Paulson. I didn't like Cuba Gooding at first, but now I think he was a good choice, even though everyone's heights are a little off. OJ was much taller than Robert Kardashain in real life, yet David Schwimmer is a couple inches taller than Cuba Gooding.

You have to understand Travolta's career was completely over before Pulp Fiction. He was this huge star in the 70s and 80s but by the late 80s early 90s his star power had faulted with bombs like Look Who's Talking Too and was no longer a leading man or being casted in anything good. For Travolta, Pulp Fiction was the 2nd coming of christ propelling him back into the spot light and offer after offer for leading man started rolling in again. Also this is something Tarantino has tried to replicate again by casting fallen stars into big parts.
@deaner195510 ай бұрын
Look Who's Talking made a huge amount of money. It didn't bomb; it was very successful. Brought in way more than it cost to make. But yes, Pulp Fiction was a big critical success for him. All actors' careers have ups and downs when you've been in the business 50 years.

I wouldn't say it was just because he found religion. That doesn't automatically mean there's no hope. His particular choice of religion, however, is a problem. But bigger than that, his acting, his personality on stage, has lacked severely in the last few decades and I would love to see a flick that he touches on his old self a little. He doesn't seem to truly enjoy his life any more, or maybe age has taken its toll, I don't know. They were all good…Travolta played an excellent Shapiro as well. My favorite part was when he walked in the courtroom wearing the police solidarity pin. Lol

I thought this was a great interview!! I am so happy John is back to work and making friends and that he is looking good! Stephen really let these guys steal the show and talk about what it took to make this show. p.s., The People vs. O.J. Simpson is a REALLY good docu-series.
