rushil jalnawala It is actually pretty standard practice for lawyers to not let their clients say much to investigators. It is mostly to protect you from accidentally saying something they can prove false. However, they usually will allow the investigation to question you, just on the stipulation the lawyers be in the room and you don't answer unless they say it is ok. However, Trump has a really bad habit of lying, even about things that don't matter like his crowd sizes and not knowing when to shut up or take orders. All Robert Muller would need is to catch him in ANY lie, not necessarily about Russian collusion, to charge him with pergury. They tried to do the same thing to President Clinton during his trial. I don't think Muller would try to sneak a conviction like that, and likely wouldn't need to. He just wants to give Trump his time to defend himself and his lawyers / political advisors are trying to keep him from giving Muller more ammo than he has.

If he has obstructed justice (and I fully believe he has), he _should_ be impeached, but everyone knows that the Republicans in Congress will continue to shield him, no matter what laws he breaks. The only chance of a Trump impeachment is if the Democrats take back Congress this year, and even then, the public is going to have to vocally _demand_ it of them, because once they're back in power, the Democrats will get all complacent and soft again.
