Norwegian onlooker here, it seems to me that the reaction after Biden not having the best debate night has been a bit over the top. On one hand, I appreciate the ability and readiness of the Democrats to be realistic about the possibility of their candidate not being up to the task, it is a stark and refreshing contrast to the cult behavior of the GQP. But the near-hysteria after one off night for Biden was a tad surprising. And the media's focus on Biden's poor night while hardly mentioning trump's terrible night of blatant vile lying and avoiding answering questions, is just shameful! I'm hoping most of the audience were sensible enough to see what was going on, especially that the undecided didn't let themselves be bewitched by trump's arrogant lies. I'm honestly baffled that there still are undecided people out there. They must be _considerably_ under-informed to not see clearly that trump is in every way possible a ruinous and horrible choice. The Biden administration's accomplishments speaks for itself. But even more: everything trump speaks for itself! And folks, if you still are undecided; look up the Project 2025.

It was a master class on explaining his depth and scope of understanding and implementation of international statesmanship, business acumen and political savvy. I was actually seriously impressed with his performance overall, showing his usual difficulty with speaking but also the intense and super well-honed intelligence generating one after another strategies for dealing with problems in the world that frankly, Donald Trump would be completely clueless at understanding in the first place, let alone having a working positive strategy to deal with. I'm more convinced than ever that Joe Biden is the most qualified of any candidate on the horizon for being President of the United States. I hope you watched the press conference as well, so you could see his quality and qualifications yourself. Cheers.

A bad debate performance is one thing, but a confused, frail, pale candidate failing to perform to expectation in a debate that HE insisted on doing early to show the voters that he is up to the task is another. Dems have a nasty habit of staying in their offices past the point they should and then dooming us when they can't beat Father Time. Yeah, Republicans get old in office too, but never to catastrophic results for them. Everyone gets mad when people say "Hey, step aside and let someone younger step in while we can get it done." But that kind of pride cost us Roe v. Wade, and if we're not careful, it'll cost us this election and the Supreme Court for generations. This is a high stakes election. It's not the time to be proud and resentful of people pointing out obvious concerns. But it IS the time to hurry up and make a decision whatever we do. That being said, Dems need to make a decision and hurry up with it. If we want to risk it with Biden, we need to stand on that square and just go with it. If the play is to just vote for Biden and then have him retire, then let's do it. If we just flat-out want a new nominee, then do that. But whatever it is, we gotta do SOMETHING quickly.

I think it has been a great administration, but this logic is so flawed. In case of an imminent threat to national security, it is the President alone that can authorize the use of nuclear weapons (God forbid). A vast majority of Americans don’t vote logically, they vote emotionally and with their gut.
