Rich people work hard? You think all people running short of money are lazy? Some have 3 jobs to make ends meet, let alone they will ever become rich. Because a second reason people become rich is luck. A lot of people work hard or have bright ideas. But a lot of times luck makes the difference between becoming rich of your idea and failing. 100% agree, even in Australia many of the jobs (especially entry level jobs) are selectively given by companies based on how much money they can get from the government to subsidise the cost of employment and then after this it's still basically award wage (the minimum they can legally pay the employee). And to add insult to injury, these employees are then let go for any number of reasons the moment they pass the mark where the government stops paying subsidies on their continuing employment and then would only fill the role with another new person with a government backed dole to work program. Basically it's free employment and little tax paid back into the system, it's no wonder governments are slowly drowning in debt to maintain their economies (and the real impact of Ai on jobs has not yet been felt either).
