I heard from other people who have been reviewing Huion tablets (including this one ) say that the drivers work better if you download them straight from the Huion instead of the disc, and it has issues with other tablet drivers. So they were recommending that you delete any other tablet drivers you have before installing the Huion ones.

i have Huion gt 191 pro and works well , its a very good tablet its an amazing product i had an amazing experience with it, i literally tell you to use huion mostly with ”photoshop„ and „paint tool sai 2”,theres no bad thing at all with the tablet , if you had bad experiences with it that means you didnt setup the driver well ,i had it for 1 year and i just had a pen charge problem , changed the pen and no issues. I recommend you if you have problems with the tablet to go to their official site and download their latest drivers , *remember to delete the old drivers if you want it to work. . \(*OwO)/

I bought this tablet a few weeks ago after seeing à bunch of other reviews and I recieved it at the en of july. Having never seriously used a tablet before (I had one with no screen but I barely used it), I'm quite thrilled with the endless possibilities of digital art. However I experienced the same problems as you did, and I find that it can be lacking in precision. That being said, I'm really happy with it, since it would not be reasonable financially for me to buy a cintiq it's a good compromise.
@trigonome7777 жыл бұрын
Maybe you should try uninstalling the drivers of other tablets that you have installed, besides downloading the drivers of this table from the Huion page. Usually that is the solution to these problems.
@Rajueh7 жыл бұрын
Kaizer Melrakki I received it yesterday from Amazon and it's really precise instead. What I don't like is the screen's contrast instead, the blacks don't look as dark ad my other monitor :(
@trigonome7777 жыл бұрын
Mmm ... that happened to another monitor, a standard (not huion or other similar) In my case it was due to a problem in poor quality cables, I used a VGA cable but I switched to an HDMI that worked better for me .. maybe is this or maybe is a problem in the monitor settings itself.
@trigonome7777 жыл бұрын
By the way, it should be noted that a problem in cables especially with the usb can cause problems with the strokes of the pen, , I read that for some reason on certain computers is better if you connect the usb of the tablet in a place where not Other cables are found, it seems there may be some interference that ends up bothering the tablet.
@jamesf26976 жыл бұрын
Valeerart go into your graphics card and adjust just about any slider and you don't even have to save it just adjust and cancel and it should help with the contrast and blacks being washed out. You probably have a Nvidia card. For some reason it has an issue with their screens, but it is a graphics card issue

Yea I still get that with my wacom 13hd. Where it says entire driver could not be found, and pen does not work, or works like on a screenless tablet, aka my mouse moves on monitor instead. So I have to either just log off windows or restart pc.

Wacom is great for professionals. If your livelihood doesn't rely on the tool, then there is absolutely no choice. The Huion will do the job as good as a Wacom. I'm saving up for a Cintiq, I just realized that I'm 1000USD up and I could afford two of these and I'm not even done saving up for the same size Wacom tablet. For it's size, price and quality this tablet makes the Cintiq obsolete. People have driver issues with both Wacom and Huion, and having to pay a shitton for a tablet-stand (wacom doesn't include them after all) for a tablet of the same size, plus having to pay 3 to 4 times more for a wacom.. I mean, there is no choice. I've seen more reviews, and people are able to fix their driver issues. Personally I have some really annoying tablet driver issues with my current Wacom intuos, and I know others have similar problems with the cintiqs.

This tablet is very similar to the one I have. I got the GT220 V2 from huion and I like that one a lot! I had a lot of issues with getting the drivers, but once I got it all figured out I haven't really noticed a problem with the pen disconnecting whilst I'm using it. Sometimes it doesn't detect it right away after turning on the tablet, but that's the only issue I've encountered. I think your observation of these tablets being great for beginners is def spot on! I think if you're someone who has already got a lot of experience with digital art and are looking for something more professional , I would also say these are probably going to be a bit disappointing.

How would you recommend a wacom intuos as a first time tablet? Is it worth it or is it better to save up for something with a screen?
@lurea43727 жыл бұрын
DevilsLittleHelper if you don't mind me offering my two-cents, I learned digital on an intuos and it's really nice to get started! But I found that there is a disconnect in drawing where you are looking somewhere different then where your hand is. Over the years I've decided that I work best with a tablet like this one, sketching directly onto the screen. But there are lots of super amazing artists who choose the other style and create amazing pieces of work with them! If you think you could learn comfortably with a tablet let like that and want something to start, I would recommend it! But just know you might want to switch styles later, and if you only want to save up for one or the other, it might be worth it to save and get something like this or a cintique :)

I was going to, 'for sure' get a Cintiq with the holiday weekend coming up... but I'm seeing if this new Huion company is good enough since I just draw on the side these days, but I want to self-publish a graphic novel really soon. Milton Friedman was once asked about the fact that FORD refused to install a $20 piece to it's FORD Pinto mufflers which would have avoided the gas tank to ignite and causing its drivers serious injury and possibly death. But when he went deeper, he pointed back to the person asking he question if he thought that FORD should have installed that part if say it would have cost $1,000 thereby raising the price of the FORD Pinto by $1,000...or was $2,000 a worthy investment/trade off? He was making a point about cost versus trade off. One does not buy a FORD Pinto expecting it to perform like or be as safe as a Cadillac. It isn't a fair comparison becasue each car is built with a different investment model and they sell to different types of customers. Personally, I believe $2,000 for a drawing tablet is either insane or the result of a sober financial decision made by a serious graphic artist. An investment, really. But I would never compare a 2k dollar drawing tablet with one that is priced at 25% the cost. They aren't even in the same ballpark; they aren't even the same sport. "Value" is a better metric with which to compare each tablet and it should be done individually. "Am I getting my money's worth?" should be the question.

I don’t think anyone should get a tablet that doesn’t work reliably. An intuous doesn’t have a screen but it’s very reliable and it works for years. Whereas the huion.. god knows what will happen. I recently bought an iPad Pro but I sometimes go back to my intuous and it is still fast, you can do everything with it. Maybe it’s not very easy when you’re doing line art but it’s definitely possible especially if you’re using sketchbook pro which is free and has a line smoothening tool and you use a small brush while you are zoomed in. It is definitely possible and I do it even when I am used to an incredibly fast easy to use iPad Pro. Driver problems would discourage and hinder anyone especially beginners. While an intuos is a lifetime purchase for a professional tablet. You (universal you) don’t need a screen tablet you only want one. It won’t even help your workflow or you speed except minutely. Sinx design still uses an intuous 2 to this day. The last thing you need as a beginner is to spend 500 dollars on something that keeps cutting you off your zone.an intuos or even a bamboo is all you’ll ever need

Saying a 500$ tablet is a good starting tablet is pretty outrageous. That's a shitload of money. If you don't think this tablet is professional enough, that's totally fine. I appreciate honest reviews, especially because i'm looking for a new tablet myself. My problem is recommending a 500$ for beginners. Come on
@artawesome306 жыл бұрын
It's possible that by "beginners" she means "new to screen tablets". Or maybe not, haha. If you're a true beginner (I assume you are, based on the way you phrased your question), there's no point in getting a screen tablet. They're all insanely expensive, and only exist to make the digital painting process more convenient for those who already understand it. The primary learning curve for digital art lies in working with paint software more than anything. It certainly does take a few days to get the hang of using a non-screen tablet, but that was never a real issue for me. The first tablet I ever used was a Wacom intuos Small [old version, not Pro]. At 70$, it worked just fine for as long as I had it. The Intuos Pro Medium is significantly better, with increased accuracy/pen sensitivity, but is around 350$. If you're looking to simply understand the digital medium, I'd highly recommend the Intuos [non-pro]. It's a fine tablet that you can create awesome art with. If you get to a point where you really plan on investing yourself in digital art as a hobby/profession, the conveniences that come with upgrading are certainly worth the price. Side note: If you do get a tablet, especially a cheaper one, make sure your computer monitor isn't too large relative to your tablet size. I used my Intuos small with a 22-inch monitor for a few months, and the poor calibration rendered the tablet practically unusable. Shakiest lines you've ever seen, haha.
@Niaoni6 жыл бұрын
artawesome30 She literally said that if you could get it if you're new to digital art. Which i find to be a pretty stupid recommendation, given that 500$ is a lot of money for a 'beginner' tablet. i'm not a beginner. I've been doing digital art for more than 5 years now. Don't know what in my "phrasing" confused you. After doing digital art for quite a long time i'm starting to look into more preofesional tablets - display tablets.

it's pretty cheap compared to other tablets that are $1000+ and that works almost as well as the expensive tablets (from what I've seen on many reviews) and by beginners I think she means new to digital art not new to art itself
@Niaoni6 жыл бұрын
appreciate kim seokjin i know she means new to digital art though. My point is, don't recommend 500$ tablet for people who haven't done digital art. Even if it's not as expensive compared to the other brands, 500$ is still a lot of money. Especially for 'a beginner' item. Imo she shouldn't have recommended it if she didn't like it, no need to sugarcoat it with - good for beginners. Also, as for the good reviews, i'm a little sceptical because these people got it for free. So even if they are not biased ( which is hard to believe because you judge free items very differently from the items you actually had to pay for) many of these people don't try the tablet out for more than a week or two. So they might miss out on legitimate concerns if you use it full time. That said, idk if the tablet is good or not, i'd like to believe it is since i still consider buying it but it's hard not the notice when people describe it as "good for beginners" or "good for the money" is it good or is it not?
