Ok. So now I know I've found my new favorite Reactor. Dude. You don't just sit there like a lump nodding your head over the next reaction video trend. You blaze your own path. You break it down. You educate your listeners. You, my friend, deserve all the success you have, and are going to get. I have loved Jimmy Barnes since I was a boy, and had to put up with people telling me hes just a screamer, when he is clearly not. THANK YOU for clarifying his range. As far as Ian Moss goes, in any other band, he'd be the lead. He's had some solo success.

Irwin Thomas (aka Jack Jones) is pretty similar - although doesn't have the body of work that Mossy has. But very similar level of talent.
@richardkenna1492 жыл бұрын
@@andoletube hmmmm he's very decent but i still don't put him in the Mossy category, he doesn't have iconic solos, nor the blue eyed soul voice, but he's definitely a class act
@andoletube2 жыл бұрын
@@richardkenna149 That's a matter of interpretation. Largely a function of a persons age. I'm guessing you are over 50 years of age, probably closer to 60. That's Mossy's generation. Southern Sons listeners are a generation apart from Cold Chisel listeners. They are largely ignorant of each other. I was born smack bang in the middle of both. To me, they both have iconic solos. They both have extraordinary voices. Their playing style on guitar is surprisingly similar. Vocally, they have the ability to sing each others' music. If they were on a stage together, playing the same song, I would struggle to pick a favourite, much less pick the better musician. And I've seen them both play - a lot!
@richardkenna1492 жыл бұрын
@@andoletube Correct re my age (57), And I certainly believe that the music of anyone's youth/early music days is what tends to stick with you for most of your life, and we tend to ignore anyone who comes along later. And it's not lost on me that even my comment of "is there a better guitarist etc" is completely subjective, we like who/what we like, so take anything I say with a ton of salt! Cheers mate!

Mossy is the John Farnham of the guitar . He is LOVED in Australia. Not Jimmy Barnes. I'd say Mossy is the Best musicians of Cold Ghisel. Don walker on keyboards started this off- notice NO JIMMY BARNES , probably too drunk to stand up. He really was a nuisance to Ian - had him in a headlock while Mossy was doing his job several times. Band is from my town, neighbourhood actually, I'm a professional guitarist and builder. I really admire Ian Moss. Him, Tommy Emmanuelle and Joe Robinson are three great Australian guitarists. Hate Jimmy Barnes for professional and personal reasons, also his brother , John Swan. Nuff said, enjoy Ian.
