December 2017 - Currently reading "Working Class Man" Jimmy's follow up auto-biography to his 2016 book "Working Class Boy". Barnsy wrote this track as a shout out to the supposed fake Record People who promised but delivered nothing to Cold Chisel when they were supposed to make it big over in the US.
@dickyoung89785 жыл бұрын
Yep, the boys tried there luck over there. Played a set for a producer bloke called Marty Schwartz. When they finished all he said was 'you're not that good, are you?'. How or why Barnsey or Mossy didn't belt him right then is unbelievable.

Fantastic song, one of his best for sure! Pity the sound quality was not a little better. BEST ROCK SONG EVER!! PERIOD!!!!!!! Ian Moss who went on his own is in this video, his best known song was Tuckers Daughter. Simply AWESOME!! The louder the better!! This song was after his trip to America, studio,s they were not interested in Jimmy Barnes, he went home ( Australia ) built his own recording studio onto the house, recorded this song which did very well!! Both in America and other places! You can hear in his voice in this song a little bit of aggression, probably venting frustration after America, but i think the song is better for it, it is Not meant to be a quiet soft song, Good on ya Jimmy, BLOODY FANTASTIC SONG AWESOME!!!!
