Picked my Citrumulo fruits and they actuall taste pretty good. A bit like a cross between lemon and grapefruit

I would say this would be valuable at a homestead where one would need lemon juice to can certain things to bring the acidity up

Definitely, they're juicier and have less seeds than the trifoliate orange which can be used for the same purpose too.

Nice review man, definitely a beautiful fruit! Have you been able to sprout any of your trifoliate hybrid seeds as of yet? I’m trying to sprout some citrumelo…though they seem to take longer to germinate than your average citrus seed. Best of luck with yours and happy holidays!

Happy holidays! It sure is, and yes, we've germinated Sacaton, Dunstan, and US-852. Probably around 60% germination without cold stratifying and we peeled the outer layer on the seeds to speed things up by about 2 weeks or so.

That’s great to here! Did you leave them at room temp to germinate or did you provide them with additional warmth?

@@quinnmores1007 they were germinated at room temperature, maybe slightly warmer, between 75 and 85°F.

@@quinnmores1007 room temperature is around 68 to 75°F so we placed them in a warmer spot wrapped in moist paper towel inside a Ziploc bag then transplanted them once we saw small roots.

When is it ready to pick ? Which citrus could be the earliest ones?When you live in a colder climate like Poland zone 6 which citrus could be the best to pick before the December before severe frost can change aroma .Except the poncirius trifoliate which survived -30c in Poland but winters nowadays are much milder

It seems by late November/early December a lot of hardy citrus varieties are ripe in this climate, but ripening times can vary substantially between locations.

@@themulberries I consider to order the french crossing between Ichtang Papeda and Troyer Citrange which according to Adavo shop in Czechia reports can withstand -18.5C Do you think it can be possible?

@@piotrwojdelko1150 that sounds like very cold hardy cross! I imagine it could do well for you and might just need minor protection for the worst Winter days.
