Cold water is amazing but tough to get used to it. No shortage of it right now in Michigan. I love the commitment, you're crazy and I love it!

I find that the shivering/shaking doesn't start till about 5 to 10 mins after getting out and dressed. It feels ok to shiver for a while though

When we go the bath house it like this. We hit the steam room and jump in the ice pool. It's quite a experience. The Schvitz in Cleveland Ohio is my place. I hit that place after a hard week of training and ready for some more punishment!!!

Do you get very hungry when doing this? I have done some windsurfing (like 3 hours plus of sailing) in mid-winter, with at least some bit of standing barefoot in the snow when getting changed afterwards.What I noticed was that I felt extremely weak and exhausted afterwards, and constantly hungry and eating everything I could for about 24 hours after.

No, it all takes mu just about 30 minutes, but your surfing + standing on the snow will definitely take a lot of energy.

What’s all this “your wife” BS. I know loads of female cold swimmers. Patronising.
@andreas956 Жыл бұрын
There are differences between women and men and women generally needs more heat. Men are generally speaking more resistant to cold. Just because you know a few women who swim in cold water does not change that. He's not patronizing, he's trying to be helpful. If all you get from this video is that he's patronizing, the problem lies with you.
