Stage 4 germ-cell teratoma cancer of the liver & lung Survivor- here. This is golden advice here. I have been doing Wim Hof breathing exercises & they have strengthened my breathing. Soon going in for tests to compare lung strength before & after starting these exercises. I've been also doing cold baths & I'm not getting sick as much as I was. My immune system seems to be building. Wim Hof is amazing!

@@stefpatras Keep doing the breathing and cold showers. The Cold increases the white blood cells ( cells that fight off disease & infection ) and the breathing, alkaline your body ( Cancer can't live in an Alkaline body ) It's a process that gets better the more you do it, so, stick to it and all the best to you and your mother. Yes! And that includes how we teach our children! That is a universal teaching you just quoted from Wim. (It came from the creator/universe/whatever you want to call "IT" if we want to be real. We just heard it through Wim because that Man has tapped into the creator. (Like you Said: "Forcing doesn't bring development. Forcing brings destruction.") So it is self-sacrifice like the Bible claims. It is acceptance. It is surrender. It is taking up your cross and walking into that freezing cold pond with a thin layer of ice on top of it and snow everywhere.... Complete trust and surrender. (Adaptation)..... I literally just learned all of this as I was typing it out. Thank you so much for your comment. I just learned a lot very quickly I need to go meditate and see where else this goes 🙏🧘‍♂️🔥❤️🫂

I started on the easy stuff, dabbling with a little luke warm water at the end of my shower. Before long I was switching it down to cold for 5 mins. I thought I was in control, I could go back to warm or hot if I wanted but I didnt. Then I started freezing blocks of ice in the family freezer and taking baths with the ice in it. This then took over a complete freezer in the house and I was bathing every day in ice blocks. Last month I bought my first chest freezer but this was a bit small for my shoulders so I ended up buying a brand new chest freezer just for me to bathe in. Its now got a thermostat regulator, ozone generator and filter. And Im down to 1degree C for my sessions. Im Martin and Im an Ice Addict.

Word of advice for those who want to buy a container to do ice 🧊 baths. A 100 gallon stock feed tank is cheaper than a barrel, chest, etc. It cost me $90 at my local farm and fleet, hardware store etc. It also had a drain plug which is super convenient. Brand I have is Rubbermaid 100 gallon. I am 5’10 200lbs and I fit in just fine. Also another tip. Use frozen bottle water. It’s reusable and saves you money buying ice bags at $2 - $3 a bag.

I extend my greatest respect to Mr Hof, however, I am 66.5 years old , was introduced to cold therapy over 50 years ago, went several years without practice and then was given a book by Dr. Paavo Airola on "Juice Fasting", practicing cold shower therapy. Sorry I don't know the medical terms, but my experiences were profound. I was foolish with drugs and alcohol (clean and sober today). When practicing cold therapy, my psyche is profound, a strong sense of intuitiveness a new found energy. I can't tell you how long it's been since I've been sick or needed any kind of injection. This is one of the best methods of strengthening your immune system. For beginners please please don't get discouraged, if I may suggest try doing a little meditation before entering the cold. And I don't just mean a cold shower or cold bath, in the winter when it gets really cold just put on your wetsuit and stand outside, I like doing it barefoot because then you do some grounding. I'm sorry this took so long but this is a subject I'm really passionate about and I wish you the absolute best on your journey and GOD BLESS.

I have a question, what exactly do you mean by a cold shower? I have been showering with cold water only since this winter. In all winter seasons before, I used to shower with warm water. And summers in my country are definitely hot enough so always cold showers. Should I make the water colder than environmental temperatures? For example, instead of the 18-20 Celsius here, should I use even colder water? I can easily stay in cold shower for as long as 5-10 minutes if I wanted to but I feel like I am just using relatively warmer water than what other people are using.

I was already doing cold, love real cold water, but the breathing i didn't already do and started last week. I suffer trauma's and living loss through parental alienation syndrome, ten years without my children because of sick familysystems and I feel really depressed with anxiety for almost ten years. But after the first exercise I felt neutral and really calm for the first time, it was amazing so I will keep doing this till I feel better. When I do the exercise I feel okay for about an hour, then I drop back down and then I do it again. Just as long as I can let go of my grief. In addition, already have a Keto lifestyle to control blood sugar. I already have so many benefits from this and with the occasional long fasting period during which autophagy occurs I also get deep into the body, including the brain cells. I hope with the cold and the breathing in gain control of myself again and finally feel happy again.

Second day with breathing techniques and cold showers … today the cold shower was a bit easier my body & mind adapted after about 4min then I begin to relax. However, after some time I felt the water wasn’t cold enough because I became use to it. It started to feel normal… I think I’m going to get a barrel for my basement and start taking ice baths . I like the challenge and mental & physical healing ❤️

When you talk about two minutes being the time needed to adapt to the cold... that totally matches my own experience! It was when I reached two minutes with the cold showers that I finally started to feel different about the experience. I actually felt almost as if the cold was disappearing, and it was - as you said - only water! I'm half way through the fundamentals course so I have some way to go yet, but already I'm delighted to find that this stuff is working. Thank you Wim, you're the greatest :)

Most of us don’t have a choice as to what cold exposure method we have access to. Especially in the summer. Especially if you rent an apartment rather than own a home. Cold shower is usually the only method of cold exposure I have access to. Even if an ice bath or a glacial lake is better, something is better than nothing. In that regard, I appreciate Mr Hoff’s advice here.

I started cold soaks in September in the early morning using my outdoor inflatable pool when I would have normally taken it down for the season. Figured I'd try it for a week at least with little expectation that I'd like it all that much, but being open to it. I have a reasonably private yard, especially at that hour, but I do it naked to nudge me to get in quickly where I can't be seen below the rim. I found that I love it waaay more than I ever expected -- I feel so happy and energized afterward, and being out in nature at dawn was part of the enjoyment, for sure! (I'm not even a morning person.) Now that it is getting much colder in New England, I bought one of those tubs from Amazon and set it up indoors in an unheated room. I really miss the nature aspect and it's harder to get in, so now I will be paying more attention to the Wim method and make it more of a breathing meditation. I hadn't really needed to do that until now. Even at 50 F, it was so easy outdoors compared to inside. (it's mostly been mid-to upper 50s) I tried the shower and dislike it by comparison! Plus, it seems like a waste of water since I still take a shower for cleanliness at night. Try it! It's a healthy addiction to have!
