I understand what he meant when he said the ice bathing can help heal our depression and "awaken us to the world". I used to work 2 jobs just earning a good living but was not happy, felt like I'm going through life like an empty shell, not really connected to the world around me. Then one day my friend wanted to go rafting on a river and our raft flip over and I drop in the cold water and could have drown. Then after struggling to get out of the freezing water and making back safely on land, I experience a spiritual awakening. I have never felt so alive. I realize I'm wasting my life away slaving away for riches. So I quit both my jobs and took a year off to explore the world around me, did lots of fishing, camping, and road trips. Now I live a minimalist life style which can afford me more free time to enjoy life because I don't need to earn a lot of money.

Getting into ice cold water and when you get up from the water it's -50 and windy and you don't go into a sauna, you lay in the snow and get back into the water and then get dressed outside. I love cryo therapy but this is so many levels above that. It's like comparing a bicycle ride with a motorbike going 300kmh. I would never do this but sign me up for cryo therapy anytime.

@@craftylemon2460 ive done cryotherapy at -150C° for 3 minutes, you do not have any clothing. it is not at all comparable and is way colder than this. @@shakmo6611 depression is being incapable of feeling happiness. When I feel depression I do not feel the world owns me anything, that's not depression, that's just being immature and entitled. Depression may be caused by biological reasons ,in my family is a genetical thing, our brains do not produce properly serotonine. We end up requiring medication to get back ourselves. When depressed I feel empty. I can pretend otherwise, to do not make others worry around me, but inside I feel like a void. If I feel anger is not against others, is against myself. I do not feel pity about myself because pity means you feel some empathy, what I feel is that I should not be living, to stop being a burden for my family, I do not want them to suffer because I think I am a waste of human being, I rather dissapear totally, but I know that will make them suffer even worse. Having the medication, working out in the gym, swimming, sleeping properly, winter, eating balanced, all those things give me the serotonine I need, made my thoughts clear because my brain begins to work properly. I hope this gives you a better understanding leaving assumptions aside.

I used to take cold showers everyday at 4 am when the temperature was between 0 to 10 °... Long showers up to 1 hour. It was cool.

@@gcjffjj797 Cold showers can help reduce inflammation, relieve pain, improve circulation, lower stress levels, and reduce muscle soreness and fatigue. Hot showers, meanwhile, can improve cardiovascular health, soothe stiff joints, and improve sleep. Understanding when to take a hot or cold shower is essential.
