I lost the count of how many times I heard parachute, X&Y and hush blood to the head. Just another band from what it is today. And just something from another world. Some people told me that it was depressing. For me it's better than a anti-depressant. Makes me fell floaty.

They were normal. They were so human, like us. That's why their songs were about relatable stuff like unrequited love, inferiority complex or daily struggles. Then they've become big, their norms, I guess, have changed. They deliver happier messages (like A sky full of stars or something just like this). And now, they're trying to focus on more serious topics like religion or world peace in the latest album. Honestly, I love how they never stop transforming themselves. I love their songs from back then AND from recent albums.
@FOXYGAMER122
@FOXYGAMER122 4 жыл бұрын
they are so special, every album has its thing. jumping from this song to trouble in town makes you understand that they've evolved, they are not only humans thinking about relatable things, but humans thinking about bigger stuff, they can deliver a message, their opinion can be heard and questioned. they are amazing anyways, but the main topic in its songs, love, its not really present, because they want to focus more on nowadays and the lack of love in every place.

LETRAS/LYRICS So I look in your direction But you pay me no attention, do you I know you don't listen to me 'Cause you say you see straight through me, don't you And on and on from the moment I wake To the moment I sleep I'll be there by your side Just you try and stop me I'll be waiting in line Just to see if you can Did she want me to change Well I change for good And I want you to know But you always get your way I wanted to say Don't you shiver, shiver, shiver I'll always be waiting for you So you know how much I need you But you never even see me, do you And is this is my final chance of getting you And on and on from the moment I wake To the moment I sleep I'll be there by your side Just you try and stop me I'll be waiting in line Just to see if you care Oh, oh, oh, oh Did she want me to change Well I change for good And I want you to know But you always get your way I wanted to say Don't you shiver Don't you shiver Sing it loud and clear I'll always be waiting for you Yeah I'll always be waiting for you Yeah I'll always be waiting for you Yeah I'll always be waiting for you For you I will always be waiting And it's you I see, but you don't see me And it's you I hear, so loud and clear I sing it loud and clear And I'll always be waiting for you So I look in your direction But you pay me no attention And you know how much I need you But you never even see me

The more I watch this video the more it amazes me how wonderful music like this could come from such a young band. I don't want to say that this is my favourite song because probably I'm going to listen to What If next and cry like I've never done before and then Speed Of Sound, A Rush Of Blood To The Head, the whole Parachutes album (that's my fave no doubts), even their old EPs... But this one is special in a way I cannot explain. I don't think I even realize how much I love this song. P.S. And young Chris is too adorable, I want to get into the video and hug him and cry while they play this song.

This was the Coldplay song where it all started for me. In fact, as a young boy, this may have been the song which influenced my interest in alternative/indie rock, the eerie, fantastic heart breaking vocals, the lyrics which cut straight through the heart. Still one of my favourite songs of all time. It was this song which carried me through adolescence, figuring out how to talk to girls I liked and being able to identify with the lyrics, high school, the break ups, falling in and out of love, the song became my life at one point. This was the first song where I felt like someone else got me, got my adolescent pain of just wanting to be loved and wanting to give love.

Ok here is my Shiver story. When I was in college, I used to have a huge crush on a guy who would play this band every time I got in his car. I had no idea who they were. He played this song for me. Then on the last day of the semester I was ready to ask him out, but just before I was going to ..... he asked me for advice about his crush from his math class. I never said anything about my feelings for him, but I told him to go for her and get what he wanted. I never saw him again, I like to imagine they are married with tons of kids. When Coldplay came out with XY, I was reading The DaVinci Code and listened to that album religiously, while working the Taco Bell drive thru. Life sure has its twists and turns.
