Today we are out on the river doing some trout fishing! We got a late start, but still managed to put some nice fish in the boat with trout magnets and D2 jigs, but as it got later in the day, the bite got tough and we had to bust out our secret bait to keep them biting! Follow along to see all of the insane action! Thanks so much for watching and we will see you on the next one!

Great video. I never lived close enough to a trout lake, creek or river to learn how to catch trout--never caught one. But I surely like to eat 'em. Glad to see you fishing together.

I love trout prepared butterfly and de bone. Skin on, soak in salt, lemon squeezed, and milk. 20 minutes. Fish dust of your choice, pan fry in Cajun oil. Peanut oil with Cajun seasoning. Blend oil. Heat and fry brown coat both sides. Caper, lime, cucumber juice tarter sauce. Great video and pretty good net work.

I lived on Lake Taneycomo from 1965 thru 1970. My secret go to bait was Velveeta cheese on a #18 Treble hook on a leader 8 to 10 inches up from the end of the line with a fair sized bell sinker on the end of the line, no bobber. Cast upstream and let it bump down the bottom with the current. I had trout almost every day. If they were not hitting the cheese (not very often), whole kernel corn or bright pink salmon eggs worked pretty good. All three on the same style rig.

Hi Jay, I live in Kansas and we don't have any real trout streams available to us. But Im close enough to Missouri to get to some pretty good trout waters. I notice you use a D2jig. Are you referring to the jig head (D2) and attaching a split tail rubber jig ??? Or is this a special rig you've created. In any case what are your favorite jig colors for trout. Thanks.
@COLE_and_JAY

Up north we don’t catch trout if water is 70+F. They die from stress even if released. Same but you or not?
@COLE_and_JAY
@COLE_and_JAY 9 ай бұрын
We don’t have any trout fisheries here where the water gets above 70 degrees except for some places where they only stock trout in the winter. Any of those that remain in those areas just die when the water warms, but all the rivers we fish the trout only exist in the cold water portions.

Dear Cole, you really are punching above your own weight with your sweet, precious bride.❤❤❤ LOL Since I discovered your channel I watch you religiously, and the few times I’ve seen your pods without Jay, I’ve been very disheartened, because without her beauty and charm I’ll go watch Brooke Crist Outdoors. JK! But I do want to make another comment, if you don’t mind. When you wear your GoPro across your body, your hands and arms block much of the action. Is it possible for you to wear it on your hat and give us viewers a better view? Please? I watch other channels (sorry) where the anglers do that and I’m able to catch more of the action. Now. Regardless of what I said above, I’m never gonna not watch y’all. I’m 76, a widower, a disabled Vet, an amputee (right foot gone), I have no equilibrium, and I have COPD, which limits exertion. But back in my day, while on active duty, Saturdays and Sundays were my fishing days. Now I can’t, so I live vicariously through y’all, from my bed or couch. So catch a mess for Bob Pensacola, Fl ❤ (Beat Army!)
