For some, this is probably just a phase. Some people go through it in their life, it’s no big deal. Just some existential angst. But for others, it’s not a phase. It becomes a permanent perspective on life and if you’ve ever truly been to the point where “you don’t give a flying fuck”, then you’ll realize that once you reach that point, you cannot ever go back. Once you truly understand the nihilist perspective, then you cannot undo that. If you’ve been here then you know what I’m talking about. If it is just a phase, then you can wait it out. It will go away soon enough. But if it’s a permanent outlook on life, well then, just embrace it. Nothing matters, so deal with it. Sure it can feel empty, but what can you do about it? Life is pointless, so what? Just accept this perspective and go with it. Life is life, death is death. This is how the world works. You don’t matter, I don’t matter, nothing matters. The sooner you accept it, the easier it will be. Life is overacted af anyway.

i don’t think you should look at life like it’s something to escape. we all go through hard times, we all get to a point in life where we stare blankly in front of us and ask “why? what’s the reason, what’s the point?” the truth is, that can be answered in many ways. an answer can be, nothing. an answer can be, everything. if we’re all going to die one day, why spend a day worrying, why look at life like it’s a bad thing, why not spend the days we have being happy, because it doesn’t matter what happens. there are so many people who take life for granted. there are people who are worried about failing their drivers test, and there are other people wishing they could see, so they could drive. we all have our own battles, we all have our own life, the question is, how are we going to live it. if no one else is going to remember your life, that’s fine. but what about YOU remembering your life. if you died tomorrow, would you look back at your life and be happy? live your life like when it’s over, you can show off the best way you lived. look at everything things it’s amazing. the ducks, the floor, the communication, the smiles. look at life like a gift, not a burden. everything around you is special, and only you can see it.

Yes, MORE DEATHS in tow... 😞 First comes the suffering, then comes the PAIN!!! Life is short enough as it is, but why are so many people so anxious to DIE??? My friend's mom (aged 57) is SERIOUSLY ILL, but the doctors are NOT telling us WTF it is, cuz they don't have enough 'conclusive evidence' to diagnose/prognose her. Basically all just telling LIES, and NOT being honest or truthful about her illness. Well, she is put on MORPHINE now and I seriously doubt that could be a sign of anything good. She feels INTENSE PAIN in her spine, that spreads all the way to her hands/feet. When she sits down to eat, she has NO appetite and also feels pain in her throat and stomach. Can't sleep, can't eat, can't shit, can't fuck, ect. Her skin is all blackened from the poisonous side-effects of Morphine (taking multiple doses per day), and she needs help moving around cuz her legs are WEAK. It's been like 90+ degrees lately, and she is all bundled/covered up in heavy winter clothes and CAN'T leave the house. At this rate, I don't think she's gonna last very long. I've already asked various people (pharmacists and herbalists), and most of them told me it could be some form of TERMINAL CANCER, and that it'll be 'over pretty soon'. Now would be like the PERFECT TIME to play that soundtrack from 'Dying Young'...

Problem is in our current society you have to earn money day after day to survive somehow. For this you have to spend most of your time struggling in a job that doesn't fulfill you. Society doesn't care about your dreams and if you do what you wanna do. All it cares about is you doing work and paying taxes somehow. And if you don't want to starve to death you have to play according to the rules. So unless you are rich or one of the few exceptions of people who are able to make a living out of their passion you are basically forced to live a meaningless life. That's the unfortunate truth about living in our present system

I wish someone had told me when I was younger not to worry about tomorrow what they call the future. This would have saved me time, and worry. I have accomplished so much now that I am older than I did when I was young. I did a lot of research on other people, creatives, artists, singers, and other people that did everything in life. Some killed themselves. Others died. What I learned is that others take their works, and sell it, or most end up in thrift stores where they get a second chance. I usually watch antiques road show. Some people just find art work in the garbage, or garage sales. These days I do things in moderation. I don't care if my works are famous, or not. Some things don't matter. What matters is living a good, and healthy life. Don't live for material things. Everything fades away, or people take what they want. The biggest illusion is the thought that anyone will remember you. No one will. It's best to just keep going in life, because money cannot buy youth. It cannot bring you back alive either. Take care. Enjoy life.

This question of yours is natural and innate. All humans ask why we were created. Where will we go after death? This great universe has a Creator. I advise you to read the Holy Qur’an because it will introduce you to things you need. You will not lose anything. If you want the answer, you will know. Thank you for this. Been struggling to understand what's the point of studying and working hard to become something just for the sake of trying to earn good money when I'm not going to need it and won't be able to take any of these material things with me when I leave this Earth, in 10 or 20 years, or maybe earlier than that, but because you highlighted that we should just do good to ourselves and to others while we are here, I guess that mentality will help me push through and work to get the money to help my relatives who are needing financial help, while also probably trying my best to enjoy life as it comes everyday. Just think that I should not succumb to pressures at work and not be too hard on myself.

U hit the nail right on the head. You are right, it’s like we work so hard to get rich and death comes like a thief in the night. U die and everything u work hard for you leave it behind. Have you ever seen a U Haul behind a hearse? I think we as humans don’t understand how life really should be on this earth. It’s like this with me, u only have so time on this earth and I don’t have time for negativity and dysfunctional people. I want to have a peace of mind and live. I work for myself and I can take trips when I want without having to ask someone can I take off and make a comfortable living for myself and my wife. It’s not about materialistic possessions it’s about being free and living your best life with those who u love and make the best out of life while u are here without confusion.

I know how u feel. I took a break from work almost to a year now. I'm lucky I have savings that I can live on & my hubby works. Before that I worked 35 years non-stop, I came to a point a year ago that my life is pointless, with a job that I'm sick of doing every day, same people, feeling like I check in prison in the mornings & check out in the evening. I'd like to go back to work but am afraid I'll be caught up again like a hamster in a wheel. Like you, I'd like to work for myself & take off whenever I like, just still thinking of what to do next. Just my 2 cents...

Living your best life with those you love? Even they will also become meaningless in the end just like I will. It's not like my love for them can make them immortal. The only thing I want to know is the ultimate answer behind this temporary lifetime. Am I only here to exist temporarily just to inevitably face an excruciating spiritual demise afterwards due to the truth that I am a sinner who isn't worthy of resting in peace in God's Kingdom?

I had written this a while ago: Wake up, eat, laugh, cry, smile, frown, pleasure, all for what? A life to live in the moment? To "live life to the fullest"? But why? Why do all that if you are just going to die someday? We make stupid jokes just for the thrill, to make fun of others for our own satisfaction. It's all temporary so why even deal with it in the first place? To have an impact on others so they can feel feelings of hope and peace? But there's something stopping me and I don't know why. I've built a mask of myself to others in school and out. I'm perceived as the smart one, who cares for no one. I'm seen as the one with friends even though they are absent. Im perceived to others as obedient, and to some stubborn. But that brings me back to what I was saying earlier about the why factor in life. Why paint this mask of myself to others in hope of something even I cannot explain. Why love something that is only temporary. Why even live to see life play out when it will end? Why haven't I already brought mine to an end? Why can't I speak these words to someone directly? Does it even matter? Why am I writing about this? I've wondered why people do the things they do. I've been confused by it for the longest time. Why the drama with someone that won't see the end of you or you to them? People do all these things for a reason I cannot explain. It hasn't been apparent to me yet. If our souls live forever, then why even bother with this eternally small portion of our eternal life? It makes everything we do insignificant but we do them anyways. I've gotten so good at masking myself from others that I've convinced myself who I am. But then who am I? And why am I here? So many questions fill my mind everytime I'm alone in my room. I just want to know why I haven't ended this pointless life already and what's holding me back. It feels like this will never be answered

i think the BIGGEST thing is your mindset. You can look at everything negatively, and feel worthless, or you can look at it positively, and strive. you may be asking, how? well, like he said the question people ask is “what is the point, when we’re all going to die anyway”. the question should instead, be, “make our life worth remembering, BECAUSE we’re going to die” use the fact you know you’ll die one day to your advantage. You can know that you don’t need to worry about being embarrassed about something, or anxious about something, becuase it won’t matter anyway. we only get one life. we can live it miserably thinking about the end, or we can see the world through the eyes we were intended to see. look at the sky, the birds, the grass, it all has meaning. if we spend our whole life thinking about the end, we will ruin the during. look at everything like it’s magical, like it is the best thing you’ve ever seen, then it will become reality. don’t look at things like a burden, like it’s wrong. be happy you can feel, you can see, you can touch, you can exist.

I think of it this way. Sure, you only live once... but so does everyone else. _Everyone_ only lives once. So once someone dies, the opportunity to make their life better has passed. That goes for your coworker, employer, partner, grandma, or anyone who's life you have the ability to influence. It doesn't matter that we all die. What matters is how we treated each other while we're all alive _together._ That is what we can control. Also the quote from Doc Brown in Back To The Future III at the end, _"...your future hasn't been written yet. No one's has. Your future is whatever you make it. So make it a good one."_

I 1st had this question when I was 8 yrs old. A rather disturbing state of mind to be in for someone that is still fairly new to life. I did not have the parent child relationship where you could just hang out w/mom and or dad and have a conversation. Children should be seen & not heard, if you are seen you obviously need something to do, so here have a random chore. I went to 22 different schools by 9th grade. A couple of the schools offered bible study. It was completely optional as long as a parent signed a waver. I found some ease of suffering from existential crisis so to speak through the possibility of an afterlife. Then I had children. From the moment I held my 1st born, I had absolutely 0 questions as to why or what is the point of life or of doing anything. I had my answer and didn't feel that empty unanswered question of purpose of existence again.... until the tragic unexpected death of my father and 2 youngest children, and following a few years later my oldest. Again I was left in this pit of despair and utterly lost. Why do anything if we are all going to die and our lives and who we were eventually inevitably be forgotten. How can we simply exist to not exist. It made absolutely no sense. Furthermore one does not get something from nothing period. Physicist will try to argue otherwise until blue in the face by using protons or atoms or vacuums or matter etc. but that is starting with something. When there is nothing... nothing is there (zip, zilch, zero, nada). And you certainly wouldn't have billions of years for things to evolve because if there is nothing.. who is watching the clock (har har) what clock, you cant get time from nothing. I studied 100s of aspects from both sides of every idea & concept. Researched and fact checked (that is a daunting time consuming chore that often leads to disappointment or hair pulling). I went over historical record for just about every society/tribe/group/people/clan/sect/village and cultural beliefs practices, rise & fall, migration, interactions, integration, mass loss of population, wars, influence etc. Then studied energy dispersal, water memory & its fascinating connection & uniqueness related to each individual. I learned about documented cases of telepathy, telekinesis, pre cognition, automatic writing, NDE, déjà vu, unexplained scientifically medically dead people (no heart beat or pulse no brain activity) for over 24 hours suddenly come back to life, or a 6 mo. old baby stuck in carseat underwater in a flipped vehicle for at least 5 hours get pulled out & resuscitated & make full recovery. I researched mass hypnosis, historical uses methods purpose of brainwashing (that was a rabbit hole of depression & concern). The butterfly effect, Karma, Murphy, law of attraction, reincarnation, mindfulness, will, heck even the concept of clothing or lack there of in different cultures. Energy fields, heart memory, miraculously cured, water witching, love. It all leads to a bigger picture that isn't restricted to this big rock we live on. There is more to just existing then not existing because there is something beyond physical life. Energy doesn't cease to exist, it is transferred to other forms it is continuous always changing.

This is what I think all the time the first part. I struggle with the second part of it. You can't always do what you want and you can't control life's circumstances. I've been in zombie mode for a few years now struggling to do better because each time I do it ends in failure or something bad happens. What goes up must come down right? When something great happens something horrible happens vis versa. It's hard to get out of this mind set. How do you reprogram yourself to think differently? How do you give yourself energy when you can barely get up? There are a lot of aweful people in the world as well and with technology it is so hard to make real life long friends and build the important connections. The loneliness and boredom is hard but what's harder is not having a good memory to make a change. I try and learn more and I can't remember the facts. Maybe I've been on auto pilot too long but my memory and brain struggle to retain information. On top of trying to also self motivated it's just tiring and all you want to do is crawl into bed and never leave. If you could make a video and answer some of these questions that would be great. I hope if you or anyone feel like this you don't stay stuck in it like me.

a while ago, i had the thought that, because bad things keep happening, i must be doing something wrong. but i was wrong. a good life not the absence of problems, but the ability to deal with them. no matter what happens in life, there will always be ups and downs, there will always be bumps in the road. the question is, are we going to let those bumps defeat us, or are we going to power past them and come out stronger? we need to live life like we will be dead tomorrow, make your life something your proud of, even if nobody remembers it, make it worth remembering.

You know, there are people who will say, “you matter, things you do will matter” when in reality nothing matters. Think of it like this, we work, jobs are man-made, we make money, which is also man-made. If jobs and money are both man-made, why does it matter if us humans created it if we all just die in the end? I try my hardest everyday to make a good living and having a decent job and have things of my own, but the thought of nothing matters ALWAYS crosses my mind. Every being to exist is going to die, when you die, you don’t remember anything, you aren’t here to do things you love and make money. The thought of nothing matters will NEVER leave the back of my brain. Who even knows what’s the true reason to live and the actual point of life. We don’t and we never will, so we just have to make a point and make things matter in some kind of way. I also want to add, I am not really sad anymore when people pass away. No I am not heartless, and I do care about people, just the thought of said person that passed away, they no longer have to worry, stress, make ends meet, work, make money, pay bills. All of that is gone. I graduated high school last year and have been having strong feelings of nothing matters more frequently now. All I have done is work and go to college, work and go to college. I truly don’t know how to feel about life.

I just woke up from a 3 hour nap to the title of this video and thumbnail. And I feel like I want to keep a good and perfect image for society but whenever I see people my age accomplishing shit, I feel so insecure, unmotivated, depressed and empty-

Personally I find it interesting to share experiences and inner universe through creative works with others. And, there's surprises that I couldn't have imagined in this ordinary journey. Good or bad, I'm open to those surprises that make me feel.

Exactly...All the experience I had in my adult life is pain and suffering. Despite trying to do the needful and rightful things always.
@aIicia1I6 ай бұрын
the good part has always been now. you just have ignored it. the “pain and suffering” is certain things that happened in your life “the good” has always been there, you have just been too focused on the bad. look at the good things, look for the happy things. when you start paying attention to the good things, the bad things don’t seem as bad. whatever things you are focused gets increased 10x. if you look at the bad things, it will seem much worse, because it will seem like it’s all there is, but if you look at the good things, it will seem like it all that matters.

How is this not ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT CONCEPTS TO TEACH OUR YOUTH!!!!! I’m trying to get better and I’m trying not to be so depressed, but over years of anger, mistakes, injuries it’s hard to see the beauty when all I can focus on is the pain. I don’t want to destroy, or run anymore, hurt anymore, I want to create, I want to love, I want to FEEL LOVE FOR MYSELF AGAIN!!

Thank you for this. It's the evidence I'm looking for to get my point across my dad. He's 50 and has been working since teenage years. Yet to discover life's deepest meaning, I want him to live the rest of his years realising who he really is.

Your content is in alignment with me on most of your current releases. You are getting really good at "story telling" and the way in which you present your ideas. And you should be getting good at this. Your posting alot lately. I can't believe the amount of growth you've had this year in Your Subscriber count. Can you believe your almost to 100k?

I get physically sick now thinking about death because I’ve thought about it so much. I’m only 16 but have been feeling this way for years. It’s just gotten a lot deeper and more recurrent so it’s hard for me

Hey, I know exactly how you feel. I get episodes of extreme death anxiety, although they have lessened over time. I've gone through the gambit on theories of existence, but the singularly most comforting thing that I have ever seen was only just a few days ago. Check out the video "Richard Hammond explains what he experienced during his coma" by Whats Next. It's probably the greatest 4 minutes I have ever spent. We are all in this together my friend ❤️

You're gonna be alright kid look how long it took you to get to 16. And majority of those years you were a child. Life lasts a long time. Death is not the end, just phase 2.

@@mariamart_0 find your purpose. Don’t be scared or afraid or sad if you don’t have one yet. Or even if you think you’ve found your purpose make sure it’s the right one. We all have our purposes and live our own life accordingly. 5 months after writing this I can say I’m much happier and in a better state of mind. I do not think about it as much and I am enjoying life more than ever. I’ve had some really good moments since then and life is only getting better. I’m sure it will get better for you too

You are miraculously in the most perfect spot. Exploring this question of your own death adds juice to the game of life. It would just be so boring if the same music played forever right?... it's the same case with our lives. If you love to explore more just as a fun hobby, I would recommend:- Alan Watts, jiddu krishnamurti. Have a great time. And always welcome your insights- they are your greatest gifts and experiences

i think the BIGGEST thing is your mindset. You can know that you don’t need to worry about being embarrassed about something, or anxious about something, becuase it won’t matter anyway. we only get one life. we can live it miserably thinking about the end, or we can see the world through the eyes we were intended to see. look at the sky, the birds, the grass, it all has meaning. if we spend our whole life thinking about the end, we will ruin the during. look at everything like it’s magical, like it is the best thing you’ve ever seen, then it will become reality. don’t look at things like a burden, like it’s wrong. be happy you can feel, you can see, you can touch, you can exist.

im 13, and ive been contemplating life for a while now. as long as i remember, i realy started to think about it when i was 8, its made me so stressed and worried. a couple of months ago i thought of the answer that helped me, wich was "you only have one life, so live it". but its still scary. im sorry you have to feel the same way, its such an overwhelming thought to have. but thankyou for this, because i feel less alone and im sure alot of others do aswell=)
