Just built me this new coat hanger throttle linkage and I’m going to try it in the morning seems so simple to bypass the governor completely hoping this works like everything else you have taught me! Can’t wait to get my engine sticker to rep spike tv!

takes a little adjusting & a few try's to get the idle just right but hell anyone can mess up the first time i had to do it twice to get her just right so if you give it a test run and the idle is to low or a little too high just cut up a few rods and see what you can do to improve upon it ;)

@@spikemandan Hell yeah it does! Scared the shit out of me at first rip...lol But I got used to it, I tell you what man... These little shits are fun as hell. And I am 44 years old! I had a very bad accident when I was 17... Split my liver whilst riding a 3 wheeler. I spent two weeks in ICU. I almost died because of that whole experience. It made me steer clear of any motorcycle or three-wheeler four-wheeler etc. But when I saw this little Coleman? I fell in love! Lol... And I got to say I'm over my fear of riding again!!!! And with your help, made my bike run better so thank you! Sorry so long bro... LOL

I wish you could see my little bike now bro. I turned it into an off road chopper. Headlights, rear light. Seat shock. A back rest made from the original seat that came with the ct100u...lol! Bent the handlebars out slightly so I didn't feel so scrunched, readjusted the governor and everything else like you did. Eventually I will put a predator 212 on it and maybe a teardrop or cylinder shaped gas tank. I wish I could send you a picture of it now as is! It's awesome looking... LOL!

I just finished making a linkage for the new bike and I even made a spare, because shit happens! Thanks for this little tutorial and explanation dude. I have a billet brake lever and gold throttle tube on the way!

The reason they go though the trouble of removing the governor is because it is a plastic gear. The plastic gear can come apart at high RPM and the governor parts can fly around in the engine and cause damage.

Same thing as a 97cc Predator I used to take my gear out but from now on I’m just disconnecting the fucker from outside and calling it a day I had oil seeping from the cover bc last time I didn’t know I messed me gasket up

Hey man. I tried to do this and the 2nd day I took it out, the throttle got stuck and i got dumped. What am i doing wrong? i think the tension of the throttle return spring has been lost.

can you use a Lifan 1 in. 15 HP 420cc OHV Electric Start Horizontal Keyway Shaft Gas Engine for mini bikes? Like the motor is from home depot. But I don't see where the clutch is.

the answer is yes! that is if you feel like doing a bunch of work to the frame it's self lolz just saying lotz of work ahead of you depending on what your working on of course

all kind of stuff you can do like changing to a smaller sprocket, removing the governor , and installing a torque converter, buying all the after market parts for it from gopowersports.com

I have one of these for my grandson. It honestly needs little more power than the way the 100cc comes stock. The Mini bike just very pull him on flat ground and my grandson is average 9 yr old. Appreciate if you think I be able to add just little more power to mini Bike.

Yes the governor gear is still in the engine but it's been bypassed but since time has passed by the bike no longer has the stock three horse engine

I had to bend the bracket it was screwed into out of the way mine was welded too and I couldn’t cut it. So I just bent it

No you keep the stock throttle cable where it isif you paid attention to the video you would know I made a custom coat hanger wire bypassing the governor

@@letsgogo8473 yeah you have to replace the old one that comes with the bikebecause the coat hanger where it needs to be is going to bypass where the throttle connects

I compared it to the original throttle Rod to a coat hanger wire and made it a little bit longer took me two times to get it right

Same thing everybody else does make sure the power switch is on make sure it has spark make sure it's getting fuel and if it runs and dies my check the spark plug basically your run-of-the-mill stuff

When that plastic governor self destructs, and it will, it's going to take the engine with it. It will run great until it doesn't.

And you're absolutely right that's why I remove the engine and got a 212 Hemi with the governor gear completely removed

That's a big engine in such a little bike. I use non-governored 212s on my off-road karts and they do ~48 mph. down hill ...

I heard that if you take that gov off that it could be unsafe for the engine. It could cause the engine to blow because it's to much power...? That's one of the reasons I never messed with mine.

dude trust me it works once you do it you will notice your bike will go much faster reaching higher RPM'S i mean after all if you look at my speed test video's you will see i fly past the camera ;)
