Everything works but the red light doesn’t show up on the cord. Can we still use it? The unit is brand new out of the box.

I believe it should. Contact the manufacturer regarding this. If there is a problem they will send you a brand new one. Also, if you purchased from Amazon, let them know as well.

i only had mine for a year and i noticed everytime i plug it in it turns on but when i power it on the breaker switch off i think it possible i got the breaker wet but dont know..is this a reason to replace it?

I didn’t submerge my plug but it won’t turn on. Do you have any other ideas? I purchased a new motherboard from Bestway but when I plug it in, it beeps and the Celsius temp lights shows with a dot. Other than that nothing else works. This thing isn’t even two years old. I’m so frustrated. Thank you

Check the cable. It might be cracked and water touching it.

Thanks for posting! Did your plug have those triangle shaped screws up top? If so, how hard was it to find a bit that could remove those? My left terminal on the plug heated up and melted the plastic around it, so I'm wondering whether replacing the plug itself is enough, or whether more wire could be damaged. Note to self, get a heavier duty extension cord!

Hey Ben, if you swing by homedepot or lowels, that kind of pit generally is available in other black Friday screw bit kits that typically run about 19.99. Probably you can find them just themselves but having all the various types have been helpful.

I have a similar problem but my cord trips and then beeps. We left the pump running for a few days on vacation and came back to a hot tub that had no power but was beeping

We have had the same problem with it tripping the breakers, particularly when we star heating it. If you hear the beeping, you must be running a code.

Same, mine turns itself off and then after I reset the GFI plug I can turn it back on, no code! Said I needed a new base… only 1 and a half years old

That's always a possibility. But I messed mine up when I was doing a deep clean of the pump and was not careful

@@FamilyDIY, We ordered the plug, changed it out and it fixed the issue, and our tub works now. Word of caution for other people, do not leave the plug uncovered in rain. Thank you so much for your video!

@@FamilyDIY Thanks. We ended up opening the plug up to see if anything was obvious and to save the $16 bucks if we could lol. It was very obvious this was the problem after we opened up and replacing is the only option. It's severely corroded and and just overall gross looking, no saving it. Thanks for the video and the path to the obvious answer. How they made a plug in for a hot tub that can't get wet is mindblowing to me though.

Glad I was able to help. I have been keeping my hanging a few feet off the ground so it would not fill with water. I was dumb and dropped it in a bunch of water when I was cleaning the spa (not plugged in)

I have had that before. What I do to fix is I first clean the filter. If that doesn't work, I remove the entire pump and put a water hose directly into its openings and blast out anything that might be causing a block. Worked for me every time.

Are you tripping a breaker? Try running it off a different outlet.
