Had the pleasure of seeing this great man on north pier at Blackpool many years ago, sadly never in his own Embassy club. I can say I cried laughing, true honest stand up, quick fire one liners, not like the rubbish we have today with an hour story ending in one slightly funny quip. Bernard was one of the greatest, thanks for the laughs big man, in the good old days, before this country of ours fell flat and lost its identity, I'm so glad I was born in the times that I was to appreciate this incredible talent!!

I'm unfortunately bunched into a group called 'millennials'. They seem to be chronically offended in regard to absolutely everything that incorporates any sort of humour whatsoever. I wish I was this age around 30 years ago when people could actually have a laugh and enjoy comedy by the likes of Bernard Manning; what an icon. People today can't laugh unless a joke is 100% politically correct, adheres to health and safety standards, offers a compensation scheme in case it's not to your taste, and gives you a free lolly (sugar free, of course) if you still aren't happy with the overall experience of the joke. Absolute fucking pansies.

Amazing how many people come on here and say how unfunny Bernard was in a clip which is about 30/35 years old. How stupid is that? Then some call him a coward and refer to his 'yellow streak'. Well if you were brave enough to say that to his face (when he was living) he'd have shown you who the coward really was, after ripping you to shreds verbally. A real coward is someone who attacks the character of someone who cannot defend themselves.
