One sure fire way to know if you are talking to a scammer (i know because i called them both times after getting a letter) is if you get the right department the first time, it took over 2 hours and when you get put on hold its like 30 minutes at least until someone picks back up.... and its always the wrong department 🤣🤣🤣

Also if you owe they are starting to call about balance dues but you will know about it first .. I've spent a long time on the phone when those computer scammers call to tell you that your computer is in trouble and you need to log onto a site to fix it. wasting their time is the worst offense and they get so mad when, after several minutes, you call them out and tell them to F themselves. I love this person's language skills, they gotta up their game on that. I know that many of these people may be very poor etc but really, to try and take advantage of vulnerable people to scam for money and information to steal more money from them is reprehensible.
