Being well aware of this not being their natural organization is why I groaned when IIRC Twilight and most of all MTV's Teen Wolf taught this by then already known to be false take (renounced for decades at that point by the very same scientist who had led the study that had those findings) to mainstream audiences, hated how Omegaverse didn't even manage to stick to those rules, and continue to despair at it having become all but impossible to find werewolves in fiction with none of that nonsense. It’s a crossover between two (albeit very intrinsically connected) fandoms, and an absolute beast of a project.
