I am so glad to see you did this. I have been wanting to get back into crochet, but have not done anything in many, many years. I am 77 and lost my husband of 56 years a little over a year ago. I am hoping and praying that my hands will let me do this. I have neuropathy and arthritis. I hope to keep the shakes under control enough to do it. I have been looking for a pattern. Not sure if I can keep up but I will definitely do this one and who knows if I can get it done may make for veteran home and maybe a nursing home. I will keep the first one as I have been looking for a simple pattern for myself as I am now in a wheelchair when I leave home.

Hi Brenda! I am so happy you found this project and that it spoke to you. My deepest sympathies go out to you for the loss of your husband. I really hope that crocheting will bring you some comfort and some purpose. If you find at any point in this project that a pattern, stitch, or technique is not working out for you please feel free to change things up and customize the project in a way that works best for you. Wishing you all the best! 💖💖💖

Hi Tiffany 😊 I'm a little confused as to why you and Bonny don't have the same number of stitches in your Lapghan pieces. I mean, if they're going to be put together into one big Lapghan at the end, after the 3 weeks, I don't understand why you don't work with the same number of stitches? Thank you so much for your many lovely KZbin videos 🥰 👍🏼
@CrochetWithTiffany8 күн бұрын
That is a great question! Here's what happened and also something to always take into consideration when joining different stitch patterns together. When I worked up the two solid panels I noticed that one panel worked with that the same number of stitches ended up being too long and the other panel was dramatically too short. The most important thing is to make sure the panels are all as close to the same size as possible so they will align. (Blocking can help aid any slight un-alignment to get pieces to fit together if needed). In video 3 I will be showing how to join all of the panels together and account for the different stitch counts. I hope this makes sense.

Hi Tiffany!! Quick question for you, if I do foundation stitches rather than chains, would I crochet into the bottom foundation or go between the stitches like you did? My dad is a veteran, so I’m going to make this for him. Just need to pick out the yarn!! I’m loving this! 💜🧶
@CrochetWithTiffany8 күн бұрын
That's a great question! If you have the full V showing on the bottom you can absolutely just go into that stitch along the bottom. The thing I don't want is for people to just go under one loop of the foundation because then it pulls away from the project and changes the look. But you should be good! Thanks for asking!

@@CrochetWithTiffanyAh, got it!! Thanks!! I forgot to ask you, how many skeins of each color will we need to do the whole project? Thanks in advance!! (Disregard, I found the amount on Bonnie’s blog. The white is sold out so I ordered the misty gray as I didn’t want to wait, lol)

Tiffany you are so inspiring I say this all the time you cheer up my day every time I watch your videos. After I view your demonstrations I feel hopeful anxious can't wait to do the project. This blanket the navigator collaborative blanket that you're doing I can't wait to do some of Bonnie's Celtic stitches. It's such a great idea that you're doing a combined effort. I just wanted to ask you if you could suggest a stitch that I can use for a Bible cover. I want to make them for several of my religious friends. I do like the textured stitches but I know it can't be too thick for the book to actually close. If you think it's better to do an actual case. That may be a better idea. Please advise thank you so much for your input

@CrochetWithTiffany8 күн бұрын
Great question! Yes, there are 3 different colors used in this project. A white, a medium blue and a dark blue. The dark blue is used mostly for the borders, and joining but does show up a little bit for added detail in the sections. I hope this helps! And I hope you try this project!! 🤗💖🧶

@CrochetWithTiffany4 күн бұрын
Hi There! Don't give up yet! When working so many stitches it is super easy to miss count or drop stitches. A trick that many people I know use is placing a stitch marker every 10 or every 20 stitches. Also, make sure you count every stitch across your row for the first 4 rows. This will help set you up and to have a better idea what to expect a row to look like with this pattern.
@zamanthal27823 күн бұрын

@@zamanthal2782 good morning! That is a great question. If you are a little short you are totally fine. You also have time if you would like to block your section. You can check out Amazon for some blocking kits and then you will have something on hand forever.
