I have right fallen arch, painful rignt knee and hip, right side of my neck and even my right shoulder is stiff and unstable. But I don't know whether it was hip and pelvic tilt caused fallen arch or the inverse.

Chicken and the egg. Good news it doesn’t matter which came first. Find a chiropractor who can fix your pelvic tilt and fit you with Foot Leveler orthotics. The orthotics will keep your fallen arch from collapsing so you can maintain the benefits of your chiropractic treatment longer. Ask for stretches and exercises that will help your right shoulder and stabilize your pelvis. Wishing you good health!

I have a right fallen arch with right knee and hip pain but my shoulder is lower on the right… is that abnormal?

It is not healthy to have imbalances but it does not mean you have to be in pain. Find a healthcare provider who can help you with supporting your feet, strengthening your weaknesses, work on your proprioception and stretching your tightness. 👍

Orthotics are a scam. Need to strengthen the feet and hips.

I agree rigid orthotics are not healthy long term. But walking on hard flat unnatural surfaces is not healthy either. Yes, strengthening is important for foot health but can not combat the negative effects of modern day foot wear nor flat floors. We were designed to walk on the soft uneven earth. This is why I love Footleveler orthotics as they prevent the feet from over collapsing with every step. Over time, this over collapsing causes elongation of the ligaments designed to hold our arches up. Muscles are designed to move joints… they are not designed to constantly hold arches up. If you lose the ligamentous support, muscles strain to compensate, leading to tendinitis and pain. This is why “barefoot” shoe companies are being sued for false claims. Again, I agree it is important to strengthen the muscles of your feet and hips. But if you are on your feet all day on hard flat surfaces, soft orthotics are your friends. Talk to your healthcare provider to see what is appropriate for your specific needs. Best of health to you.

@@DrummondChiropractic Great points here. I agree, muscles and joints are designed to move, and we need consistent, clear signals to move them through their entire range of motion. I live in the city and most of my running is barefoot on pavement. I balance out that input by using mobility tools regularly to massage and strengthen intrinsic and extrinsic muscles of the feet and hips. So maybe the soft orthotics is similar in utility to provide signals to balance the feet after excessive flat hard surface exposure.
