We have 6 Impact Stationary Crates and I am looking for one that folds. Thanks for this review....now to breakout my VISA ! We are dog professionals; competitors, Police K9, Schutzhund, etc. These are the best made crates you will find. Made in Idaho. Excellent quality and workmanship. I have also found that the paint, whatever they use, is very durable. Ours are not even scratched on the inside. Make sure you order the right size for your dog and needs. Last crate you will ever buy and if you need to re-sell one...advertise on professional training/breeder platforms....they know the value in these crates.

I have the 40 x 40. I love the idea of storing the rails on the outside when disassembled, rather than tucking them inside. But BOTH ways work. These crates are phenomenal! #impactcrates

Thanks for the great review and demonstration. After having it for over a year, is it still holding up? Would you still have purchased the collapsible model?
@NSQGarage
@NSQGarage 3 жыл бұрын
So we still find the collapsible model quite useful. We just traveled across the country and it was nice to be able to collapse it in the back of the pickup truck and then pop it open after we arrived. But the my pup is quite anxious at the new location and attempted to peel some of the aluminum back. We flattened it with a hammer and filed away any rough edges. Still holding up great but my dog is quite destructive.

Thank you for this informative video! My two dogs have eaten my walls (whenever they hear fireworks and we are not home), escaped from multiple crates, and have anxiety issues as well. I totally understand your reasoning for buying Impact Crates. Besides keeping our homes intact, it keeps our dogs safe! Thankfully you did a review on those 'heavy duty' metal crates on Amazon. I almost succumbed to that to save some money. We are definitely going to purchase Impact Crates. My question to you is what made you decide to get the collapsible crate vs. the high anxiety one? Impact Crates do not recommend collapsible crates for anxiety dogs, but my dogs used those crates during a board and train with a professional dog trainer. They gnawed at the bars, but couldn't escape. I wouldn't get a first responder discount for the anxiety crates (only stationary & collapsible ones), so wondering how your dog is doing so far in the collapsible crate? Sorry such a long reply! Thank you!
@NSQGarage
@NSQGarage 4 жыл бұрын
I'm glad you liked the video. Our dog hasn't affected the crate at all. Only some light scratches. He seems happier in the impact crate. We got the collapsible because it was cheaper and because we could then easily transport it. I know they don't recommend it, but I only have a 45 lb ridgeback mix. He isn't a doberman or anything crazy powerful.

Hi! Hopefully you see this and can answer ASAP. I have a german shepherd with extremely high anxiety. She gets very destructive when it thunders/fireworks. Seeing from how your dog left their kennels, im assuming our dogs are very similar. Anyways, although my dog has terrible anxiety, i also travel a lot so the collapsable crate is peaking my interest as well. Now that you’ve had the crate for a while, are you still happy with this crate or do you wish you purchased the high anxiety crate?
@NSQGarage

it is still holding up. it is showing some wear as he still has tried to destroy it. if you need to travel with it, i think the collapsible is the way to go.

Thanks for the video. We have a Golden Retriever "Paisley". Watching your video, our dog has destroyed crates very similar to your dog. I am looking for the heavy duty crate too. Our dog is the same with high anxiety and destroy's the house when we leave. Question: Do you prefer the Collapsible Impact Dog Crate or would you of got the High anxiety crate? I like the option to travel with the collapsible crate, but just wondering from your experience before I spend a lot of money. Any damages to the collapsible Impact Crate with your dog? (Beside the door scratches). Has your dog ever escaped? Thanks for your time and helping me make a decision.
@NSQGarage
@NSQGarage 4 жыл бұрын
So he hasnt been able to damage anything on impact crate. He actually seems calmer in there compared to his other crates. We like the collapsible aspect for travel. Assuming that Golden's generally aren't as aggressive and powerful as some dog breeds, I think you would be fine with the collapsible. It incredibly heavy duty compared to normal crates. I feel like the high anxiety crate might be overkill. However, I would look into the warranty for both crates. I think they are different if I remember right. Thanks for watching!

Hello Alaska! The two previous Extremely Damaged Crates, and resultant Dog Injuries, showed you that you have a Dog with Super High Anxiety, with no concern for it’s own Safety. I’m baffled as to why you didn’t Buy a IMPACT High Anxiety Dog Crate? They are designed specifically for your your Dog. They even have little Plastic Panels that you can put on each side of the Door Bars Area, that completely prevent the Dog from damaging itself on the even closer together Bars of the High Anxiety Crate, preventing damaged Mouth and Teeth. They have very small Holes in those Plastic Panels, that no Dog can get any Teeth into. Again, those are made for your Dog. I suggest that if they don’t make those Type of Panels for your Crate’s Door Bars, that you make your own. IMPACT themselves, states that their Collapsable Dog Crates, can in fact be Collapsed by Highly Anxious Dogs, causing it to collapse upon the Dog, causing further Injuries to the Dog. The High Anxiety Crate is made of thicker Sheet Metal, has smaller Holes to prevent Damage to the Dogs Mouth and Teeth. The IMPACT High Anxiety Dog Crate is Made exactly for your Dog, so after your Money was wasted on two inappropriate Dog Crates for your High Anxiety Dog, and how it was Injured on both previous Dog Crates, I can’t understand why you didn’t purchase the appropriate, High Anxiety Dog Crate by IMPACT. 🤷🏻‍♂️ If it was due to Money, why didn’t you Buy the Fixed Crate, that your Dog couldn’t Collapse upon itself, and further Injure itself? I just had to ask. I am not trying to disrespect or embarrass you, so if I have, I Truly apologize. I am trying to understand. PS. I just remembered, that there all kinds of Products on Amazon for just this Problem, that are a Derivative of Hemp, that are supposed to be Highly effective for this type of Problem. Here is one of them below. Visit the PREMIUM CARE Store 4.3 out of 5 stars 12,914 Reviews PREMIUM CARE Calming Treats for Dogs - Made in USA - Helps with Dog Anxiety, Separation, Barking, Stress Relief, Thunderstorms and More - Natural Calming Relaxer for Aggressive Behavior - 120 Chews #1 Best Seller in Dog Relaxants It would also be Wise to Exercise your Dog very very well before leaving it in the Crate. Giving it a Kong Toy, previously filled with Peanut Butter, and Frozen, will give it something to do in there. (Black is Hardest Rubber they make, and I suggest that one for your Dog.) I Highly suggest looking further on KZbin, and watching the oodles of Videos about this Problem, as you will find help for this specific Problem.

Thanks for your input. We chose the collapsible because well, it's collapsible. We move a lot and we need a good crate to travel with. The high anxiety one cannot be easily transported. It has held up quite well but there are certain days where he is more anxious than others. We have tried the CBD products with minimal results and he refused to go after his kong until after we get home. You are probably right about the exercises though. That has worked in the past for us. We actually just started using a sound machine and that seems to be helping a lot. His bed in the crate isn't usually disturbed when we get home.

Wow, With all due respect 🙏. You got the wrong breed dog. A malinois needs to be with thier family pack unit as much as possible..if you work all day.and don't have anyone else at home.you shouldn't own a malinois. They are the Ferrari of dogs. Not meant to be driven in a parking lot. Yes the get separation anxiety like no other breed. Not for a inexperienced dog owner. Not for someone who can't be training the dog twice a day e ery day for there lifetime. A malinois is too much dog for 90% of people..except the occasional low drive Mali. Many of these dogs live thiwr life in a crate.because people can handle them correctly. They need lots of time and training. Calm,firm,consistent leadership. They should not be crated for more then 3 hours in a day. Sleeping at night is different.

@@Ray-he4oe Obviously NOT since he spent all that money to find a safe crate for the dog and did not just give up and dump it in a shelter. He said the dog was a rescue, so it had problems to start with. Try keeping it in your home and see if you still think he's an irresponsible dog owner. I would bet you'd be ready to tear your hair out and throw in the towel in the first week. You can't just let a destructive dog loose to tear up everything in your house and possibly ingest things that can hurt them. Now THAT would be irresponsible. You can be standing right there in the room with them and they can gobble down something before you have time to take it away from them (even the molding on your wall baseboards, the foam sealant under your kitchen counter, or rubber gasket under a door or around windows). You can't hide everything from them. Talk to some people who foster these kinds of dogs with severe anxiety on a regular basis and you'll find out that it's not at all as simple as you make it out to be.
