I have your cookbooks and I made these biscuits with sausage gravy Saturday night. We buttered and tore one into tiny pieces for my 1 yr old grand son and he was eatin em like they were candy or something. Every time he ran out of pieces on his highchair tray he would holler "HEY" real loud so we would put more on his tray. Lol! He got himself good and full, got a bath and was asleep about 5 minutes later. All you mamas and gammies out there, If ya want happy, healthy babies and ya want em to go to sleep good at bed time, raise em on southern food! Our whole family is loving your cookbooks! Have a good day. Hugs from the southeast coast of Florida 🌴😎💙😎🌴

My granny always made biscuits in a cast iron skillet. She called her biscuits "cat head" biscuits. They were big, fluffy & delicious. I don't have her recipe. I wish I did. I am definitely going to try yours. They look delicious! Oh, and...my granny used buttermilk & shortening too! 😊👍 I love your down home cooking recipes & videoes. You don't need to change nothing about how you do things! Honestly, if people don't care for this type of cooking & want to miss out on the yumminess of life, don't watch the channel! I'm sure there are many health food blogs & videoes you can follow.

Tammy, I bought myself the blending fork, & made your biscuits last night. I followed everything you did on the video. They tasted just like my grandmother's, & tasted so good. Then after I tasted the biscuits, I did a biscuit victory dance in my kitchen screaming, " Yay I finally did it!" Ha.ha. I just wanted you to know that this is the first time my biscuits turned out so good, & didn't come out hard like baseball's. Thank you so much for your recipe & video! I couldn't have done it without your help. You're an excellent teacher on Southern cooking. Now...I can pass this on to future generations in my family. I am so proud of my biscuits! From a Tennessee country woman! 😆

Tammy, thank you so much for teaching me how to make biscuits!! Prior to your video , my biscuits always turned out tough, dry, and flat.. I think the crisco is really easy to work with rather than an all butter recipe.. it seems more forgiving? atleast to me. I showed the recipe to my mom and now she's more of an expert than me at making your buttermilk biscuits. I use half butter and half crisco now when I make them.. the butter gives a nice flavor. That folding really helps puff them up too, folding 8 times.

Hey Tammy, I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your channel. I grew up in town in Southern Missouri in the 60's and 70's and we pretty much existed on boxed mac and cheese, white bread, and twinkies, lol. Fast forward 40+ years and I still don't know how to cook, heh. But I got married later in life and my husband grew up in Georgia (born in Wilkes County GA) and he had a Mama that could cook like nobody's business; I didn't have the pleasure of knowing her, as he and I married much later in life. Long story short-he is starving for just the kind of cooking that you do and I have always been a Southern Cook 'wannabe'. We LOVE your potato soup recipe and today, I am going to do the Crock Pot roast. Thank you and God Bless !
