In my last episode, I talked about some of the higher profile grail Hermes scarves. Watch this video for the background on some past seasons Hermès scarf designs that are under the radar, but equally grail-worthy in my mind.

I like L'art de Temari. Never saw the beauty of it till you mentioned the many colors and graphic potentials. Lovely.

Another wonderful video. I prefer to get my scarves new, but it's always nice to revisit old designs. So many beauties!! xoxo

Thank you, Jill, completely understand! That’s the irony, though, is that you can still sometimes find new ones on the secondary market as well. 😉

Lovely group I agree all grail worthy! I hadn't seen Zénobie, Reine de Palmyre by Annie Faivre before and now am going to try to find it.

Great video and interesting choices! I have Jaguar quetzal in two cws, Tyger tyger and Zebra pegasus from Alice Shirley and they are definitely the ones I love the most in my (small) collection. But I also have to admit that once worn a few of Alice's designs look very similar, for example I find that Mountain zebra has a very similar background to Dans un jardin anglais and also the last one with the lion (at least to me!). So I don't feel that crazy rush to have them all, despite being great. I had never considered L'esprit de la foret, maybe because butterflies kinda scare me, but you made me notice its potential!

Ah, Alice Shirley fan! I hear what you’re saying about some of the design similarities, she does have a clear aesthetic she draws upon. Wild Singapore, the one with the lion, was one I loved so much that I have it in three color ways. Oops 🙊 But I don’t have the Jardin Anglais, so maybe that’s why. Anyways, glad you enjoyed and thanks always for your feedback!

@@cranleyplace I don't know why Dans un jardin anglais is so popular and SO expensive on the secondhand market. It is a nice design indeed, especially in some colorways, but I don't find it to be much more beautiful than the other designs by Alice. Maybe it's just me!

@@fluctuatnecmergitur19 Definitely, it will be interesting to see if it falls out of favor over time. I can recall many "grail" designs which were astronomical for a while in the secondary market, but after a while the demand declined and prices came back down. Time will tell!

Hi Maya, Faivre and Shirley are both fantastic artists and their designs are incredibly beautiful. I love the colors on all of them, specially the yellow and blue ones shown in this video. Thanks so much for discussing Plissee scarves !!!!! I don't own one but admire its shape. They look lovely with a cashmere twin set. Years ago I wanted to get one but I was a bit concerned. The NY store told me to send it to the cleaners but never mentioned the pleats would disappear. When I talked to my drycleaner they told me that it was at my own risk so I never bought one. Have not seen them in NY nor in Germany for many years. My neighbor has one and I always admire it and will share your comments and this video with her. She doesn't wear it often so she has never cleaned it. It's good to know that Hermès can replisse it. Wonder how long it takes from Europe or if they still offer this service. Your video was very useful and I am saving it for future reference.🤗👋

Thank you so much for your comments, Martha. Totally agreed about Annie Faivre and Alice Shirley, and glad you found the discussion on plissés helpful. I would assume their turnaround to replissé should be faster since you’re based in Europe, but it has been a while since I’ve had that done. Like your friend, I probably don’t wear them as often as I’d like due to the whole cleaning quandary. 😂

I have had my plissé scarf dry cleaned at least once, and in my opinion the pleats are still very sharp. I was once in the Hermès boutique at Frankfurt airport and the saleslady told me that I could have any of my Hermès scarves, also the not pleated ones, sent to Paris and pleated. The cost at the time was 50 euros, but it was a long time ago. That could "refresh" scarves with some minor issues, for example stains and discolorations.

That’s good to know, you must have had a cleaner who knew what they were doing! Appreciate your input 💕

I like it, too. I got the pink one, mainly because I didn´t have anything in that color scheme. The other colorways are beautiful as well. I also like the other Ardmore Artist scarves and even their wallpapers.
