I'm happy for you, i own a 981 cayman gts and absolutely love it. the handling, speed, balance and the flat 6 makes for one hell of a car, and no 911 can handle it in corners except for the gt3 😆.

drove the 981 myself a few days back and loved it. I also have a 991 911 which i love, but the cayman is like a mini me, and i just connected with it instantly. Watch the rear end when wet, but im sure youve found that out already (on purpose) drive on sir,...

Great purchase! Have a 981 S aswell in white with same interior, fantastic car, far better sounding than the 718 nonsense. Had mine 4 years on tuesday with no plans to change. Enjoy!

Nice! I recently picked up a 2016 production GTS. It's been good to me but the ride height is a little too low for my area. I hope you went for sports exhaust and sports chrono! It makes the car into a a real beast. The response difference from sports mode is hugely different and the exhaust is also ten times livelier! (Ok maybe not ten times but definitely much better with crackles and throatiness)

The GTS is such a nicely kitted out car isn't it, really beautiful - enjoy!! ...On my car I have only the sports exhaust and not the chrono (not sure it can be retro fitted??) which is a slight shame but doesn't detract from the car. The PSE sounds amazing, and like you say the crackles are fantastic - it really adds to the whole driving experience. have you any mods planned? I have a few lined up :)

Paul Bilton I might do a ECU tune to the car. Maybe increase it to 350 to 360 horsepower and give a slight boost of torque in mid ranges. But the GTS model is already tuned up to have more of a punch so the tune wouldn't be as dramatic as an S model getting the same tune. You should definite go for one though! Very easy, cheap, and quick horsepower. I however won't be doing anything to true car for a few years due to warranty. And there's already been some small problems with my car such as stereo, intake, parking sensor and steering alignment. None them are big issues but it grows on you, and it's irritating to have to constantly go to the dealership.

Yeah I know what you mean. When a dealership (not Hatfield) fitted my sports exhaust (see other video) they scratched my car. Although minor it was really irritating having to find the time to take back to them and get it sorted it out, I have better things to do! Have you considered the IPD plenums? Relatively cheap upgrade it is! Thats what I'm having done along with the 200 cell and header upgrade. I'll see how that all turns out and whether or not to go for a ECU tune as well on top. it should have more than enough power after all that I think :)

Paul Bilton yea for sure tell me how t goes! I'm going to ask my dealer the details on what I can do and what I can't do if I want to keep my warranty. My dealer is pretty strict on this I hear, just because they want to ensure maximum pre-owned vehicle quality if cars are traded back later on since they are the biggest Porsche dealer in Canada

I have still to pull the trigger on a cayman. my main issue is the parking in London eheh. good buy. in the park that day i met also a miami blue cayman. it gets darker under the clouds. how is your blue under normal conditions out from the dealer?

Hi, sorry for delayed reply. The colour, amazingly, stays absolutely true. So not just a "show room colour"!! I've had so many complements about, which is really nice. I'm going to get it all detailed soon so I'll do another video. Hopefully I can capture the colour all ok with my camera.

@@PaulBilton I actually traded a 2014 F-Type for my 2014 Cayman. The Jaguar had a wonderful engine and was indeed gorgeous, but the Porsche is far more special to me. The build quality seems so much better, too.

If only you had waited for the Cayman 718 :-) Look similar seats to the Boxster I ‘m getting next month, Black and Crayon. I’m looking forward to the new Porsche experience (previously only had secondhand Porsches) but slightly apprehensive as the salesman at the local Porsche Centre has emailed me twice since I placed the order and and he spells Boxster as Boxter!!!
