Huge Gator fan here, I second the Auburn @ UF game from last season. Incredible atmosphere right from the start. Had the opportunity to volunteer on the College Gameday set that morning as well which was a dream come true. However, I want to go back to the year before when Joe Burrow and the undefeated #5 LSU tigers came into the Swamp. Back and forth game the entire time but the pick six to give Florida an 8 point lead with like 2 minutes left sent the Swamp into an absolute frenzy. Happened to be Burrows first INT of the season as well.

2017 Alabama at Miss State was a seriously charged atmosphere that night. State BELIEVED (the Dak success was still coursing in their veins). Bama fends them off at the very end. 1992 national title game at the Superdome. Alabama was hungry for that natty and did not like Miami at all. When the pick-6’s and avalanche of big plays started up (Teague walking down Lamar Thomas, etc), the crescendo just kept building. Several Legion Field iron bowls come to mind, when the stadium was 50/50. That place got loud and heated. There was atmosphere in that war torn old stadium. The 92 SEC title game between Bama and Florida was the inaugural event of its kind. Setting was the aforementioned Legion Field in probably the coldest game I can recall attending. When Langham picked off Shane Matthews and housed it for the winning score, the place absolutely exploded. One of the most orgasmic moments I can recall in live sports, and the atmosphere that day was electric in building up to that ending. Alabama hosting Georgia in 1994 was an intense atmosphere featuring the kind of talent on both sides that remind you of recent Bama-UGA clashes. Alabama hosting LSU in 2015 was supposed to be an awful downpour all game. Everyone came anyway and the weather was wet but not as terrible as forecasted. From the jump, the crowd was in the game. Bama but a physical beating on LSU that day, and the atmosphere fed off that all night. By the end, and I have a photo of this, the entire beat-down LSU team was sitting on the bench. Not a soul standing on the far sideline. It was one of the most throughly satisfying wins I can remember. You felt like you wanted a cigarette after sex when that one ended. Of course, the Game Of The Century was a couple years prior and it was certainly as intense for different reasons, as it was a heavyweight fight to essentially a draw, although LSU did win with a FG, setting the stage for a national title rematch that Alabama would go on to win.. I wasn’t present for that one but I’m sure it qualifies.

This game literally just happened but boy was Florida-Florida State in 2022 the atmosphere of the century. I was lucky enough to get student seating right on the rails (which made storming the field a lot easier). The site you see when you look back and see the student section full to the brim is astounding. It was loud, raucous, irreverent, and nothing short of electric. My mother was attending the game, but on the home side and she and my father didn't have the physicality to make the jump after the game so they watched as everyone stormed the field. My mother described it as World War Z the way we were spilling over the railings. My UF friend who went to the game with us even stormed the field (he does like FSU though and attended five games, including a roadtrip to NC State that season). He had gotten a free FSU shirt and put it on. He said even though his team lost, it was worth the $200. I really haven't been to a ton of non-FSU games so I can't compare and contrast, but that night was the best example of the magic of college football that I can ever think of.
