Alfonso Ribeiro appeared on Geraldo, to say there was never a time when he felt uncomfortable with Michael Jackson. Ribeiro, at the age of twelve, had starred with Michael and the other Jacksons in a Pepsi commercial in 1984. Ribeiro felt like Michael was one of his buddies and felt the allegations were “preposterous”. He also disclosed that his own father was offered $100,000 by a tabloid to say anything negative about Michael Jackson. - Lisa Campbell’s, “King of Pop’s Darkest Hour” The defense witnesses included Tim Whitehead, Michael’s cousin who is very close to Michael, who told the jury he had been offered $100,000 to say that Michael is gay. He refused and said he has never seen any behavior that could be construed as child abuse. - Lisa Campbell’s, “King of Pop’s Darkest Hour”

Regardless what your opinion is, whether you believe or not, whether you agree or not...I can say about 95% of us (the audience, the fans, the media) never had an interaction or had a personal relationship with Michael. None of us knew him enough to get the real raw truth from his side of the story. Yes, there are court documents we can look back on but there are always 3 sides to every story. Every one. In this case, there's the alleged victim's side, MJ's side, and the truth. However, I don't care how powerful you are, how popular you are, how successful you are...no one is above the law. That means if I see my child detained against his/her will with a person I have not given consent to watch over my child in the absence of my presence, my default action is to call the authorities to intervene! So if that wasn't done the first time, nor the second or third or the 100th visit, then we are looking at the possibility that the parents willingly chose to bring their child repeatedly over and over and over again to visit MJ with no other adult and/or parent supervision. Already at this spot...I am not sure who has a worse twisted mind. The parents or MJ. As a parent, to consistently be okay with having these interactions take place in the first place, something is out of line in your mind as a parent. Now in every relationship, whether it's business, platonic, or romantic, we all participate in a relationship to get something. In other words, we are never in a relationship with someone without getting something in return. So lets flip the coin. If the parents knew that there was even a slight possibility that their own child was being molested by another adult and I as a parent continue to provide and establish interactions with this adult...why would you continue to engage in this interaction? So as a parent, if I know something is not right, and I received payments, rewards, hush money to allow this to continue...who is the real monster here? Parents looking at their children as piggy banks, sacrificing their childhood/innocence for a good retirement plan? We need to look with a fine comb on the alleged victim's side just as much and as aggressively as we are with MJ!! Granted MJ has a background of why his mind got twisted. It is simply covered by saying Joseph "Joe" Walter Jackson. This doesn't justify MJ's behavior, if the allegations are true. But it explains a lot.

With all the hate and threats coming from the hardcore MJ fans I'm not surprised more men have not come forward. I believe Wade Robeson. He was a top tier Emmy winning choreographer. hunnerdayEDT I believe them too, I still think it’s a one sided documentary. The documentary doesn’t bring any new evidence and it doesn’t stop the fact that Michael was a child mentally. There is so much to this story that isn’t told. Robson is looking for fame and success that he hasn’t had. He’s looking for revenge. His story doesn’t add up. James I believe more than anyone. Again Michael was abused. So it goes deeper than just writing off Michael as an artist or person.
@hunnerdayEDT
@hunnerdayEDT 5 жыл бұрын
Actually, Wade Robson was very famous. He was one of the few choreographers that non dancers knew by name. He worked with a lot of famous people in the late 90's through the 2000's. When he came forward with his allegations about MJ, he was dropped by many of his clients. I write this to say that it's not easy for someone who was sexually abused to speak out even when their abuser wasn't famous. Imagine how difficult it is for these guys to call out someone like MJ whose fame and fandom makes Beyonce's Beehive look miniscule by comparison. I can't say that the doc wasn't one sided. But based on MJ's pattern of behavior even BEFORE he was tried for a felony, I would NOT have let any child I loved and wanted to protect any where near him. All these people pulling the race card or attacking these men have to look past their fanatic love of MJ and acknowledge that the contact that he had with young boys was NOT normal. (A grown a$$ man saying ON CAMERA that he sleeps in a with boys is completely suspect.) Yes, MJ had a "childlike" persona that he protrayed in public. But he was a grown man who, I suspect had immoral and illegal contact with children. And those babies' parents were neglectful accomplices. This documentary is one sided in my opinion because a lot of people enabled that man to do what he did, and they were silenced either by threats, money, or fear of going to jail. I bet there is a treasure trove of NDAs somewhere just as was done for Weinstein, Cosby, and Singer. As long as the estate is valuable, the beneficiaries will fight to protect the image that makes them money.

There’s not much evidence that goes against Wade and to not bring any of that up his not right. And they are talking about kids as if Michael don’t have a teenage son right now. Now if he would have said all the evidence against Wade and said when I weighed these two sides against each other I came up with this concussion that would have been find. What if I visit collider office and have a closed door meeting with the guy that’s heated in this video. Then after that I say he attacked me or touch me or whatever. According to the woman in this video that guy would need to lose his job because she’s a “believer of people.” As if people don’t lie. *so much evidence that goes against Wade. 1. He said MJ kept him from girls but ihe dated his niece from age 12 to 21 2. He said it wasn’t about money but asked for 1.6 Billion dollars and started a fund right after it aired on tv for people to give him money called the Wade Robson Fund. 3. They said in the doc that the rooms in the theater at Neverland had one way glass so that no one can see into it. But if you go back and watch Oprah’s interview with MJ from Neverland you can clearly see that the windows in the rooms in the theater are clear see through. 4. In the documentary he said he had dinner at neverland and seeing MJ’s kids is what made him “lie” under oath. In the doc they say yeah we was at the dinner you know everyone was there. While those people that are “everyone” have come out and said yes we was at that dinner and it took place AFTER he testified under oath in court as a 23 year old. 5. He said he didn’t realize it was abuse till after he testified. Even though he was an adult and the prosecutor asked him if he was touched and he said no. So he doesn’t know what touch is either. 6. He asked MJ would coach him over the phone. During the documentary they place recordings of phone conversations that MJ didn’t know was being recorded. He kept all those recordings but don’t have one of MJ coaching him. Why? Like there’s just too many different stories. He’s just isn’t a good witness I’m sorry. What the person making the film should have done was asked him about other people and go build the case around someone that doesn’t have all these credibility issues. Matter of fact the people that Wade says replaced him has come out saying nothing ever happened to them and they threatened to sue him if he mentions their names again in anyway

I think a lot of people who haven't watched the documentary are missing the point. They describe a lifestyle that I don't think anyone refutes. You can choose to not think he touched boys while in bed with them, but he basically lived a chunk of his life sleeping with young "companions". The lifestyle is the most damning thing. If you are ever in a situation where you can be left in a he said/she said situation with multiple children, there is a problem.
@ruzaroos

@@jihadsmith762 I don't pretend to know definitively what happened; but all I will say is if these men are lying, their entire family is lying too. The film goes into how this wrecked their families. One guy's brother doesn't let the mother in their home, or at least didn't for months. Again if they are lying, they should get Emmy's for their work. Even if he never touched them, his behavior was unequivocally pathological. I feel sorry for MJ as much as the kids. He lived a life where people let him do whatever he wanted and his own broken youth took him to a broken place. Not all cultures across time have even demonized what he did; so when he is allowed to exist outside of the cultural standards of his own time and place, I can't view him as monster. I have no horse in this race, but to mindlessly say "I believe people" is a remarkably naive statement to make. The Jussie Smollett case is a good example. There are two sides to every story. You simply cannot judge a case based on one side. You need two sides for context.

Michael was my idol growing up and I've always defended him even though I don't know him partly because no explicit evidence was ever found to support these claims. And yet, any sane person would say his behavior around children (which so many are excusing since it isn't material evidence) was completely inappropriate at best. "I love you. Sleep in my bed while your family is away" from a grown man to another family's child should NEVER be excused even if "he's like a child himself because he didn't have a childhood." He wasn't a child. He was one of the best singers and dancers in the world who made you believe it was okay to leave your child ALONE with him, a celebrity who was still a stranger, unsupervised. It's mind boggling if you really think about it. The vast majority of people defending him here haven't even watched it. Being such a huge fan, I thought I'd come out still defending him and exposing the 2 opportunists for what they are. Instead, although the adoring fan part of my heart wanted to believe the "no evidence was ever found and that's good enough to exonerate him," the reasoning part of my brain (especially now as a parent) can't really help but question wtf went on when he was alone with so many impressionable kids for so many years especially when these kids are telling you he molested them.

I gotta get around to watching it. I will admit it is fairly weird the disconnect I feel like my generation has with MJ. I was 10-11 I believe when he died, and I just never felt like he was so beloved to people my age, as he was to slightly older generations then mine. Growing up I remember hearing MJ likes kids jokes all the time, and it almost seemed like common knowledge that Jackson liked young boys. I’m also not saying if he is guilty or not, but rather noticing the difference in how generations viewed Jackson. This could of course also just be growing up where I grew up, but just an observation. Really interesting listening to Macuga’s thoughts on it regardless

What roxy’s talking about was the interview w him and Gavin Arviso in the Bashir doc. What Arviso said was, “I insisted on sleeping in the bed, and Michael finally relented and said, ‘ok, you take the bed, I’ll take the couch... the most loving thing u can do is give your bed to a guest.’” Don’t we all do that? When someone comes over to visit, we opt for the couch, and give the bed to the guests? I get that it was unusual for a grown man to befriend young people as Michael did... but we have zero precedence for someone like Michael, who grew up since the age of 5 as the most famous person in the world... unable to go to a mall, or the movies without being trampled.

When Michael was speaking about sleeping in the bed in the Martin Bishir documentary which the female referred to, he said he told the Arvizo boy "if you love me you will sleep in the bed" because they were arguing about who should sleep in the bed - the boy or Michael. In the end the boy slept in the bed and Michael slept on the floor. Watch the documentary again. These are allegations. Do you know the difference between allegations and facts? Research the court documents, testimonials and depositions of these accusers and their families in the 1993 allegations, 2005 trial, and their 2012-2017 lawsuit. You will see the blatant lies, inconsistencies, and misrepresentations that envelops their stories. See why the judge threw out their billion dollar lawsuit. Michael was found not guilty of sexual abuse because no evidence was found to convict him, so if we are to believe these admitted liars they have to bring evidence. The most convincing lies are those laced with the truth. Facts don't lie, people do, especially for a vendetta and a billion dollar lawsuit. Bring the evidence.
