I picked one up today, but I couldn't believe I found one! I thought it was just a Vz24 at first. But the tag said "7x57," and once I looked at the crest, I knew it was South American. I didn't know it was Colombian till I read the crest in detail. It definitely is worn, which is typical, but the bore was good, passed the bore/muzzle test, and wasn't shot out. It's a bit dirty, but it'll clean up good enough. I do believe it's a bit of a mix master. It has a Vz24 stock with an FN receiver, barrel, and handgaurd. Got it for a very good price and can't wait to deep clean it😁👍am glad ya made this video, it's very helpful!

Very neat, I own a model 1950 in 30-06 and i find it very difficult to find anything substantial about these rifles.

One of my favorite Mauser rifles. The others are the Swedish rifles and carbines.

Good video, south American Mausers in good shape are hard to come by, you have a good example.

Good luck collecting all the South American Mausers. You’re probably already aware of this, but apparently all the Uruguayans (at least the 1908s with the nice crests) were all bought up by some German distributer and never brought to the US, and Paraguay, Ecuador, and Bolivia never surplused theirs (though you sometimes see these for $$$ by way of Spanish Civil war surplus).

Very nice vid. BTW your top barrel band is a from another gun. It shouldn't have a parade hook. I jave thread about Colombian Mausers on Gunboards. I still need to gat a 1940 personality.

I am going to make a video about the history and battles of the Colombian Mauser in service since many people believe that these rifles did not see action when in reality these rifles are the bloodiest Mausers since they were given to the conservative army and with these they killed many innocent people just because they believed they were from the liberal party, so the people began to arm themselves and that's how the guerrilla began
