Thoroughly enjoyable video! It doesn't matter that there's no scenery other than the stations. All that was needed here was the commentary. Kinda wish I could visit the British Isles as it would be genuinely fascinating. And yeah, I'd buy some silly souvenirs.

Several years ago, when it was announced that Mircrosoft train simulator was in the works, I kind of chuckled to myself 'Oh that'll be fun.. we can go forwards, and we can go backwards! Yayay!!'. I still feel a bit weird about train sims, but I can at least appreciate that they can look pretty. In this case.. well what can I say.. lol. I'm glad that at least the Colonel had some fun with it. I guess the challenge is to apply the brakes in time, and to make sure that all the passengers end up piled up against the entry door of the cockpit, or whatever it's called in a train. I still have high hopes for wheelbarrow simulator :)

As an American that had spent 12 years in England, thank you. We would drive to West Ruislip (there is/ was a US Navy base there with parking just down the road from the tube stop) and just buy a day pass.. seeing the attention to detail the game provides is amazing. Thank you very much for a bit of nostalgia for me. BTW Embankment stop has a pub which i visited, and later saw in one of the "Mission Impossible" movies so, there is that tidbit of useless information...

Oxford Circus Tube Station services: Bakerloo, Central and Victoria. Most important need to know thing about Oxford Circus Tube Station: avoid at all costs. Angus Central is at Oxford Circus, right by the station :P Picadilly Circus must see thing: The Lego Store (I've been told is the largest in the world). Embankment: one of the few stations with the male voice (announcements).

I visited Oxford and it is quite lovely with the university and all, but you are right about not being in a hurry, people with their faces in books will just kind of wander into the street more or less diagonally making their way to the other side over an indeterminate period of time and I guess it's just understood that Thou Shalt Not Run Over thee Scholars.

Nothing at Charing Cross? The Northern Line station perhaps feels a little out of the way, but the Bakerloo line station is right under Trafalgar Square - which was its previous name before the Jubilee line came along and linked the two stations and made them one, before getting bored and deciding to divert via Westminster. And it's the Victoria line at Oxford Circus.

That's the one! I was tripping myself up because I knew it wasn't the northern, but knew it was a north/south job.

Elephant and castle is named after an event, when a spanish princess was to visit. To honor her, the town put up banners with the words: "el Infanta Castel", which bore such resemblance to the now well renouned pair of words that it caused great mirth, the anger of the concerned princess, and the re-naming of the area!!!
@UKTVGlod3 жыл бұрын
There is or perhaps was an Elephant and Castle at Elephant and Castle, it's made of concrete and on top of a plinth outside the shopping centre that's now being demolished after being flogged off to developers for peanuts by the council. There's also a pub. And Lambeth North is where you go for the Imperial War Museum.
@tmarritt3 жыл бұрын
Originally it was a pub, pub got blown up in the war and the shopping centre was built with the statue on, now they are ripping that down but there is a new pub with the same name.

A strange place... and not far from Warwick Avenue Tube station! Plus, Often went between Broadcasting House (get on at Oxford Circus) and Maida Vale on this tube line. P.s. Its only given us the bare minimum of freight lines in US where there are so many routes they could add. Their not even going to try and get this game to multi-player within next two years. Tsw2 end of year Q&As on KZbin the guy with Pink bunny ears speaking for Dovetail? can not answer a question point blank. Avoid this game period unless you like playing by yourself ALL THE TIME.
