Only God is beautiful. Idolatry is always a dumb idea. The sense of nationalism makes no sense. All shall pass in this worlds, countless countries and empires have. Only the heavenly Jerusalem will remain by the grace of God. Gather your treasures in Heaven. Fight for the greatest Benefactor, and the absolute Good. Do not grow old in the hardness of your heart. Because Jesus "wants you!" for the army of the Lord. The army that does not boast in violence but in Love of Christ. The army that wins by sacrifice.

@@someman7 Only God is beautiful in the eyes of the ones who believe in that concept and just like you say that nationalism makes no sense (and I agree with that, don't get me wrong) so does the fact that so many people put their trust in some invented, never proven entity. I think it's pretty sick to keep thanking God for just about everything that's good in your life, but when it comes to starving people all over the world for decades and decades it's, according to the ones who believe in God, part of a different plan we're unable to understand or some other vague excuse they come up with. So, no, imho, God is far from beautiful.

After reading the comments, I thought I would come here and tell you that my mom was behind the camera and my grandpa (we call Popsi) is typically a very quiet man who doesn't say much. My mom had to lead him with questions. I think my Popsi was overwhelmed. That's why he was so quiet. This is not an ad for the glasses, but a testament to my grandfather's love of the country he fought for. This was not in any way scripted. Thank you to all the nice people like Carol here for your comments.

It pisses me off that some people ask so many damn questions. Just let the wearer have time to take it all in. So many stupid damn questions. Just step back and let the person absorb it all. It's like this kid wants to put words in his dad's mouth. Is this beautiful? Is that beautiful? Do you see the flag you fought for? I mean come on, this isn't about you, it's about your father. I really didn't like the "giver" here who just had to interject himself into the event. Step back. It's not about you. Just shut up and let your dad enjoy the glasses. You effectively made this about you. I didn't even finish the scant 2 minutes and 54 seconds.

Some parents are like that. My mother was like that. No matter how much we spent, no matter what we got her, she either complained or said nothing. They should've donated the glasses to someone who would've appreciated them. I've seen guys cry when their wives gave them these glasses. Oh well. I feel bad for the kids. I know what that let down feeling is like. We redecorated my mom's whole house. Paint carpet, all new furniture. She basically had the same reaction as this guy, and we were crushed.

People who have not come across this genetic anomaly before can take colours completely for granted. It can actually be dangerous to the people with this condition. Can you always tell by smell if a steak is no longer quite so good? Are the traffic lights always all three present, can you see which is, if not? Marine Navigation lights can be very confusing, to "mild" red/green colour challenged poeple. Do you instanly stop at a red warning sign, what if it just looks black? To a soldier seeing through the camouflage can be useful, but a lot of other things can be harmful. I love colours, they make life so much more infinitely beautiful, my colour-blind, dyslexic and word-blind relatives and others I don't know, all deserve respect and help when we can give it. All the best.

Dr. Why Fuck you. The title of the video set expectations. I saw nothing to melt my heart, but that takes nothing away from this gentleman's war experience. I've spent many nights hearing my Dad's screams from his war (WWII) nightmares so I get that. The uploader picked a title to get clicks, or their heart was melted because they already know his personality and saw something in his reaction that we wouldn't since we don't know him.
@westingtyler16 жыл бұрын
avoiding critique of a slightly misleading title by hiding behind someone ELSE's patriotism isn't so great. even though there's not much indication, and a lot of peer pressure in the video, i hope the glasses work for him, but I wouldn't stand there TELLING him he's not color blind repeatedly. that could only pressure him to pretend.
