The headline is misleading. I don't know what CBN tells it's audience but the Supreme Court ruling wasn't a ruling about the fundamental issue of wether or not he was within his rights to deny baking a gay couple's cake. What it said was that was the Colorado Civil Rights commission wasn't fair in how it handled the compliant against Masterpiece Cakes. It was more or less of a punt. The new challenge was utterly predictable and and challenges will likely continue until the fundamental issues of the case are addressed.

Relying on technicalities is a good way to "skirt" rulings. The Court opted for a narrow ruling; however, it seems quite likely that if they were considering it may have been free speech to decline to bake for the gay couple, that declining to bake a gender transition cake is, if anything, a clearer case of protected speech. It could be considered immoral to go after people's LIKELY free speech rights just because, essentially, "Ha, ha, the Court didn't rule that way yet." They didn't need to go after the same guy.

I'm a transgender man, and as much as I don't like the fact that he refuses to do something as simple as baking a cake celebrating a gay marriage or transition, I don't think it's right to attempt to force him to do this. I'll take my money to someone who deserves it and he can continue doing his thing. If someone wants to deny making a Christian, Muslim, Jewish, ect themed cake, then they have as much a right as he does. *Edit: I’d also like to point out that I think this should only apply to personal businesses and their freedom of religion and not in the corporate realm like in franchise businesses, the healthcare realm, or anytime it would take away from an lgbt persons human rights. Trump just introduced a rule that would allow healthcare practitioners the right to refuse treating trans people. This is a perfect example of what I mean. If you go into healthcare you’d better be ready to interact with and treat all sorts of people because we’re all human beings at the end of the day and everybody deserves humane healthcare.

We need to do exactly what Martin Luther King, Rosa parks and the civil rights movement did, and just simply boycott the business. It worked with Chick-fil-a when they were openly anti-gay. They never apologized for it, but their businesses are no longer denying people for being gay, so that's a great place to start. This man is never going to change his mind if we harass him. While I don't agree with the state's decision to pursue this man further, I don't think it's defying the Supreme Court's ruling. As it was stated, the ruling on the previous case was a narrow ruling made solely on the foundation that this man was treated so egregiously. It has no legal hold on any future cases, even those involving the same man. So you could argue pretty easily that this is unlawful, but not in the sense that it breaks any law enacted by the previous Supreme Court ruling
