Great start of the day seeing deer and clear skies for your climb over the pass. I always try to hit them in the AM because the afternoons are always hit and miss with the thunderheads. Rugged trail going up and some beautiful views too. It seems there are quite a few people on the trail this day. The views over those clouds in the valley were spectacular. Hats off the trail maintenance workers. They do a great job keeping the trails clear of blowdowns. Those log river crossings can get sketchy. Cool to see the old log structures. Well done on another pass completion. Have a great day.

@@Packsalot The storms the day before had everyone bunched up below the pass for the morning start up and over Lake Ann Pass. I’d hate to see the shape these trails would be in is it wasn’t for these awesome trail maintainers. Thanks for watching!✌️

A few years back I spent 4 days with a group of guys helping build that new section. I think it was a 3 or 4 year project with a number of crews from several organizations. Quite an effort. It was good to see it again, now completed. Thanks for the ride.

@@DavidonEarth It’s a beauty! It’s still a work in progress. It was said this was the first full season that it was opened according to one of the trail crews I met. FarOut doesn’t have water sources noted on it yet but it was fun to travel it.

I am enjoying following you. I hiked segment 1-7 this year 7-29 thru 8-5. I'm planning on hiking segments 8-17 next year the last 2 weeks of July.
