We still cry on a weekly basis but slowly the good memories are turning into smiles. Hang in there, I know the pain is real.

Juno. 🖤 Such a badass snow-bathing, pika-hunting, bear-glaring guardian and you gave her a life most enviable.

I love your videos man, I'm so incredibly sorry about your pup. I have an 11 year old pup as well that is more than a son to me then I think a son could be. I hope your transition into a new strange life without her is not too difficult. Keep up the good work, because of your videos I feel very much inspired to get out and follow a lot of the ones you do. Hopefully Fools Peak soon.

Great seeing Juno doing what she and you guys love doing. We always miss our dogs so much when we lose them but never forget them. She was lucky having you guys as you were lucky having her. Thanks for posting this.

Really sorry for your loss, I understand your feeling. I had the same happen to my trail partner and its leaves a huge void. Only time will slowly help move you past this challenge. All the best to you and your wife.

This is my perfect backpacking video with all the real time info. I so appreciate it thank you. I also appreciate somebody who talks about the trail while on trail the same way I do. Me and my daughter will talk mess about the trail while hiking only to turn around and discuss how excited we are for the next one

Thanks for always sharing the scenery with us, and for the guidance which has helped me on multiple Colorado trips. I can tell Juno was a great dog, irreplaceable. This video makes me think of my dog Eo. I don't talk about this much, but I feel compelled to here. He was an Australian shepherd Husky mix, some folks told me he was a blue healer. I don't know much about dog breeds. He was with me the first time I was in Colorado. He was my first dog, and unless another one finds me like he did he may be my last, at least at this point in my life. To make a long story short, I lost him in a traumatic event that was completely my fault. It happened while I was building a fence for him and my girlfriends (now a friend) dog, Vera. His loss was the first in a series beginning in spring 2017 that left my girlfriend and I both without a pair of grandparents each as well as both our dogs by the end of 2018. I can't begin to describe that period in my life, so I won't try to here. I'll just say that I'm a different person now, and the memory of Eo is the memory of a different life that I used to have. A pin oak grew from Eo's grave soon after I buried him in our back yard. Oak trees are very special to me, so this was very significant. My Ex-gf sold her property recently and I dug the tree up and put it in a pot hoping I could keep it alive long enough to find a good place for it. Right now, it is sitting in my back yard dead. I half expected that, so I'm not very upset, just the familiar feeling.... I miss my dog.

Why is the Husky made to carry the luggage? It's not a donkey or a horse. Husky is sad
@devonbailiff2 жыл бұрын
Pretty common to get a harness for your dog to carry his/her food, bowl, poop bags, etc. A husky will have no problem carrying a couple pounds of his own gear…
@centennialpeaksadventures2 жыл бұрын
Not the best video for this take. Juno was a very happy girl with an amazing life by all accounts. But, yeah. It’s very common for dogs to take their own water and stuff. For further example, my puppy has enough energy to carry her own supplies for days. She hardly even notices a couple of extra pounds.

Dog is more than capable carrying a light weight. Educate yourself.
