You're right, it's more than just the logo; Apple's aesthetics are as recognizable as its logo. But people said the same thing about the Iphone's home button and the scroll wheel on the iPod. both of those are gone now.

Initially I thought the colors were a bit too bright, but I've warmed up to them since. While I like the white, gray, & black modern look that most Apple products come in, I do like the return to brighter colored devices as well. To me they look welcoming or cheerful and they definitely have personality which sets them apart from other devices.

Imagine if you could go to store right now and buy it for $5000, then that price doesn't really make sense. But if you wait 2 years then it's different story, people would see that you have it, but they wouldn't be able to buy it - at least not immediately. Don't get me wrong, $5000 for a bag would never make sense for regular people anyway. But they have their targeted consumers and they created this culture around it
