I became a member today and downloaded (and printed off) all kinds of things, including the Color Wheel Tri-Tone Sets. Just finished the Polychromos one (apart from Tri-Tone Color Schemes) and it really is an eye-opener. Doing the normal swatches is also a great way of reorganising your pencil tin!!! Plus, you're reminded of some wonderful colours that you tend to skip. The ones in the bottom tray, for instance, the ochres and flesh tones. Loved doing this, only so many more to go :D Honest, if you're not a member, become one. One word of warning (this may depend on the type of printer you have): do not opt for "Fill entire page" because then vital information on the right and left is cut off. Jennifer, Steve, you are the best!

Thank you Jennifer. I have your Prisma colour work book. I love it. But I was still a little unsure how to use it. This was fantastic. I will save this video. That way I can come back as I need to, to refresh myself, so I can now use this workbook to it’s fullest potential . Again, thank you so much, and thank you Steve for all your work putting it together. Best money I ever spent.

WOW!!!! First let me say: THIS IS THE BEST COLOR VIDEO EVER! I'm one of those people who really needs this tool. I really want to color but I find myself not doing it...without realizing why...until now. I know basic colors that go together, but I've never thought about three values of one color and how they work. This book solves that problem. I'm ordering it and cannot wait to get it. (Love the color of your nail polish.) I have one question already. Is there, or will there be, additional blank swatching pages available?

I appreciate sooo much the work you’ve put in to clarifying the color breakdowns, etc. Had an “ahh-haa” moment myself just today about warm colors, cool colors, etc. duh. The video did help me understand what to do with the book. My problem with it, it is so long. Could it have been shortened? Maybe leaving out the learning curve of the paper punches? I know I am being critical, but I want to just get with it. Maybe this would help someone else, with an old attention span like mine.

Hi Jennifer. I just watched the video and the little dog thinks your crazy 😜. When you cut the color circles if you had gone alone the long side I DONT think you would have to do any of the trimming. When you have the book made. Have the company put perforated area all around the circles. Than all you have to to is punch them out. Book looks good though!😎

You mentioned you have chronic hand pain, I have some mild arthritis in my thumbs, so I find coloring with pencil crayons hard after a short time. What brand do you find is the easiest to color with that gives nice colors without much pressure?
@alli_went_bonkers4 жыл бұрын
The pencils she’s using, the Black Widows, are actually made by a medical supply company that wanted to create pencils that would work for people with the kind of issues you’re describing. 😉👍🏼
@missannethrope014 жыл бұрын
Oh my goodness, that's great!! Thank you so much, I'm going to order a set and see if I can work with them for longer than my Prismacolors.
@alli_went_bonkers4 жыл бұрын
Miss Anne Thrope The problem I had with Prismacolor is that they’d lay down color quick and easy, but break constantly, so I spent half my time sharpening. Black Widows hold their point longer, so you can focus more on your coloring. They also have a hexagonal barrel which might make it easier for you to grip. I would just get one 24 set, test how they work for you, and then decide if you want more, so you don’t waste your money on something that doesn’t work for you.
@ColoringBliss4 жыл бұрын
Yes...there is a lot of us here with hand pain. Colored pencils are not the best for hand pain. My favorite for ease of lay down is still my Prismacolors but they are soft core so that presents their own set of problems. The Polychromos are another good choice for their silky lay down. I would also recommend trying a solvent like odorless mineral spirits or petroleum jelly to help break down the pencil instead of the dreaded burnishing that causes so much pain and fatigue. Good luck!

I have just one suggestion, make the spiral bound area to be a disk bound and you can take them out and put them back as you please. :). Don't mean to mention the competition as such, but Waffle Flower designed color wheels, etc with dies. Then they did a die with the disc bound method. Just a thought for those that are interested. I follow the card making community so that is where my interest lies for following you. Thank you so much. Card making is FUN

Yes! We do ship outside the US but it can be quite expensive depending on the location and what you order. The books are quite heavy because they are printed on such high quality paper, and because we are a small print shop, we don’t have bulk shipping deals that drop the costs.

Coloring Bliss I don’t have much experience with them I’ve read that they do fade in the sun mainly because you use friction to erase them which creates heat so has the same effect

This is so fabulous. Are they also for markers like Copics? I can't ever pick my colors, I don't know why I can't see them. Definitely Copics. I had to buy them all because I can't decide what are the right colors. It's sad.So comforting that you were scared of the color wheel, so am I.
