Great strategy, thank you! I'm new to craps and it was my first time playing last night. Spent 2.5h at the table, table was hot, I did 25+ throws on my first try, kept throwing 8's and landed the hard 8 which cashed $3,000 to one guy. He tipped me $150, what a night! Overall started with $400, on a $10 table, left with $700 plus that guy's tips. Thanks!

@@ColorUp I have a question on the payout, on a table with 10 times odds. say you have a 25 dollar pass line bet, the point is 6 and you put 125 dollars on your odds. (5 x 25 = 125) would your payout be 10 x 125 ?
@ColorUp2 жыл бұрын
A table with 10x odds means you can put that much of a bet in odds. So a 25 pass line bet could make a maximum of 10x or $250 in odds bet. The payout on 6&8 is always 6:5 for the odds bet. So you get paid 6$ for every $5 bet. So $125 odds bet would pay $150. The 5&9 odds bet pays 3:2 and the 4&10 pays 2:1
@ronaldphillips9802 жыл бұрын

Second night won $100. Third next switched to Blackjack to play with friends and lost $90. Forth night switched backed to craps and doubled all my bets ($20 Don’t pass and $12 Placed 6 and 8), and won $205. Wow! I love Craps now, and your 6/8 Hedge Strategy! Wish we had craps near me in Twin Cities Minnesota. I have read closest craps is either Diamond Jo’s in Iowa, or Turtle Lake in Saint Croix, Wisconsin. Both about 1.5 hours from Twin Cities. Totally sounds much better when you leave out that you will also lose that $10 on DP if the point rolls in. This strategy is actually what I call the reverse iron cross but for the fact that I go even further and throw a field bet down there even if it means only making $2 on the 6 or 8
@davidl74544 жыл бұрын
This a good strategy to use especially if you have time to hang on a table. The only issue is that Craps is the only game where distraction matters. I can have a shouting match with someone playing cards, slots or the wheel, with the same outcome. When your at the craps table, independent factors (players drawing chips during a point or dealers wetblanketting) affect shooters. Also, I only understand a Don’t Pass when he is placing bets as well. If someone only plays DP/ lays numbers with odds (how stupid can you be to bet on DP/DC odds) then he is a true flesheater and belongs in the Players Poker room with the real animals. Cheers Color!
@PtylerBeats Жыл бұрын
What I do is put double the minimum bet on pass line and field. The field and pass line cancel eachother out. So a 7 and 3 break even, but an 11 pays out on both, a 2 pays out enough to cover your pass line loss and even make a profit, and then a 12 pays out the same as an 11 because it pays triple. The only ones I lose money on is a 5, 6, and 8. But those are relatively high odds to hit again, so I can bet on those odds and make the money I lost in the field most cases.

Love your videos - great stuff. I'm a beginning player, and I try each of your strategies that I've seen. A question for this strategy - the Don't is only played to get a point established, but would you ever buy full odds on it? Like especially when the roll is a 4 or 10? Seems like the only time to do it, to me. I have noticed most Don't players will not buy odds, because they're really playing the 6 numbers. Thanks again for making these videos - great stuff!
@ColorUp7 ай бұрын
Odds is a great “additional” bet if you can afford it. Most players don’t like to lay odds because you always have to bet more to win back less, but that’s just based on the true odds. As the bet is favored to win. the 4/10 seems like a better number to put odds on because it seems like you have better chance to win, but it only pays 1:2. The 6/8 you are more likely to roll than 4/10 but get payed for that proper chance 5:6 so it’s mathematically a fair payout for the risk no matter which number. It just depends how the dice roll.

This play is similar to the One Hit - Can't Miss strategy, where you make equal sized bets on the DP, the Six and Eight. For example, on a $10 game play $12 on the DP and $12 each on the Six and Eight. Max exposure is $12. One hit on the Six or Eight guarantees a $2 win. Press / Collect every other subsequent hit. I've taken an $18 eight up to $4200 with this play, collecting over $4400 and only pressing the Eight because the shooter never tossed a Six. Shooter tossed 14 Eights that hand. On e in a lifetime hand.

Question, when you started the game, it was to play with little money & conservative atleast till you get your money back off the table before the dice roll ***. My question is once you have collected your money back off the table & your playing with 100% house money, would you ever consider changing your strategy in the middle of a open roll? I have played a few times in the casino just a few days ago recently. Before playing i watched a few of your videos to get me freshened up with the game. I 1st tried your favorite strategy & did good then tried the iron cross & failed very bad my bank roll went down quick. I walked away & returned later for another go at it & went back to your favorite strategy & was able to get back a little of what i lost before. Thanks for the videos they have & still are helping out in learning the ropes of craps & hopefully in time not let the casino take as much of my bank roll as they have in the past. I've gotta ask.. I'm a greenhorn to craps. I like the simple strategy here and I'm excited to try it out! But why weren't you playing the pass line with odds? Lots of rolls there where you would've made good money on that pass line..

I’ve made hundreds of different videos. This particular strategy just doesn’t utilize line bet with odds

We only have $10 tables here in Colorado. Should you put $20 on don’t to start? Also, does 12 pay the don’t on a come out? I can’t wait to try this strategy. Thanks!

Yep, $20 or $25 would do the trick as it would take $24 to place bet the 6 and 8

@Color Up I'm new to your channel and wanted to say great job. I don't see any videos on dice control. As a beginner craps player, what's your thoughts on setting the dice and will you address dice control in future videos?
@ColorUp5 жыл бұрын
epplaya690 my thoughts are...it doesn’t hurt to try. I may do videos in the future, but just to explain how it works. I’ll leave the “teaching of dice control” to others.

some can do it but most can't unless you can practice 2 hours a day don't waste your time

If you don't have a real craps table at home, there is no way to practice dice control.

If you bet the Don't Pass and a 4 or 10 is the point, would it be a statistically good idea to put odds behind the Don't? Can you put odds behind the Don't?
@ColorUp5 жыл бұрын
Yes, it’s called laying odds. It is a zero% house edge bet, which is great, and the more you add, the lower the overall edge on the bet becomes. Most people don’t like to lay odds because you have to bet more money to win back less, but that’s the price to pay when you are favored to win the bet.

If they have a punch won't that affect the roll of the dice ? Heiver side down under more ...... ....
@ColorUp2 жыл бұрын
a canceled dice would not give a true roll, that is why casinos punch them and take them out of play

So why wouldn't you take the don't pass bet again?

Does a 3 craps pay in the don't pass if the point is already established? Sorry I'm a newbie. Thanks
@ColorUp5 жыл бұрын
Good question. No, craps numbers 2,3 are winners only on the come out roll. After point is set, they do not effect the game.

What if instead of hedging with the don’t pass I put slightly more on the don’t pass than the six and 8? For example I put $30 on the don’t pass and $12 on the six and 8 each? Would that still be profitable?

Question: As for my Craps experience at the casino, I think the dealers won't let you put a place bet on the point. What do you do in that case, if the point is 6 or 8?
@ColorUp4 жыл бұрын
If dealers won’t place the point for you (weird?) you can place the point yourself. The point is the only place bet you can make as a player. How you do this is place your bet on the actual printed line of the pass line and where the odds would go. Your bet would straddle the line. This is recognized as a place bet on the point and should be paid as a place bet.

@@ColorUp Thank you for your answer. The reason I asked this question is when I played craps at the casino, say the point is hit and I have some place bets on the table when the point is off, often times when a point goes on somewhere that already has a place bet, the dealer would ask "Where would you like to move that place bet?" So at the casino I've never seen someone played a place bet on a point before, unless I don't know the rules well enough.

@@TheLegendofHeroes Do you also have a bet on the Pass line?
