Colour, choosing it, finding it, exploring it, learning about it! Paint The Way!

I made this video for my Paint The Way Facebook Group members who were asking about colour palettes and planning them for a painting. There's so many ways to choose or deal with colour. Here I talk about a few ways I approach colour when considering palettes for my paintings.

I learned a way to harmonize a whole painting is to take a drop of each color in the painting and mix with each color you mix!

New subbie here. I think I found a kindred spirit. :-) I have been coaching artists of all kinds for over 40 years and when I see what you are up to, I remember why. Hello Angela. Thank you so much for your comment. I use all sorts of paper and sketchbooks. The key for me is setting myself up for freedom. If the paper for exploration is too pricey I might not sink into exploration and get lured into making a perfect piece. I buy various weights and test their resilience and performance. For actually creating works on paper I seek out a hardier brand but couldn’t actually tell you which as I switch that up as well..
