Looking really lovely so far...beautiful skin tones. I have a request...any chance of doing an updated version of your pencils collection? I'm sure I'm not the only one who would enjoy seeing that. Thank you for the amazing videos. I'm in awe of your talent and skill. X X

Hi Lucy, thank you for the video. I agree that paper will not take much pencil before it starts resisting. It is a kind of odd. She is looking a little spooky, I like her. I would like to see you use some watercolor, for a base, see if that helps some. Looking foward to the next video. Take care!❤

Lucy, I agree. I have a hard time working on this paper as well. What is funny is that Christine Karron's book Wildflower Folk doesn't give me as much trouble and it seems to be the same type of paper? I wonder if the paper has been changed in some way with Christine's book? Or maybe it is my imagination? Lol 😄 I tend to use a few layers of Polychromos first then go in with the Prisma. I find the Polys almost act like a tooth of some sort. If I go in with just Prisma's (which I have done in the past) the pencil gums up quite quickly. It seems after I put the layers of Poly down I can add more layers of Prisma. I am a layering colorist, similar to your coloring style too btw. I have tried to just go in without layering so much and I just can't do it. I will be interested to see the watercolor down as a base first in your next video. I haven't tried this, but will look for the next in the series to see how you got on with it. Your page is looking beautiful so far!

I love how your picture is looking. With the options your wanting to pick from, I would suggest a light wash of watercolor paints to give you that grip for your colored pencils. Watercolors do help to make it easier laying down colored pencils on top of thin or finiky paper.

I love how your picture is looking. I have been wanting one of her books. I have heard that the paper is a little tricky and I have been coloring for almost a year but I don't feel that good at it yet! 😫🥰 I love watching your channel and learning from you.

I don't know if the paper in this book is the same as in Christine Karron's Wildflower folk, but I don't have a problem layering Polychromos in that one. I did try to start my last page in there with Luminance and I could tell fairly quickly that they were not going to layer well and were causing patchiness, so I went straight back to my polys and the paper was much happier.

Hi Lucy! I saw a video suggesting to use clear gesso on your colouring pages to prevent alcohol markers bleeding though the page, I think you just cover the whole page, wait for it to dry then youre good to go, may be worth a try for your special books like these, I saw it in Sarah Renae Clark's 'This GIANT Disney Coloring Page was a NIGHTMARE' video if you wanted to have a look for yourself :) I'm curently waiting for this book to arrive so thank you so much for the inspo! its looking great, the background looks fantastic!

Daniel smith sells transparent watercolor ground too. Gives the paper a bit of tooth. Like anything it takes a bit of practice>

Just a thought Lucy. Try using an acrylic brush. That may help with streaks.

Hey Lucy, can you please tell me what kind of tape are you using to number your pencils? I think it's a great idea and I need it for the pencils that are running short and I can't see the original name/number on them.

Could you photocopy the back page before you alcohol marker then tape the words back onto the back of the page?
