@@dizzee2100 Break to drift is a core part of arcade racing games, it has been since day one, and it probably always will be. I'm not saying it's the best fit for every NFS game, I definitely wouldn't want it in a game like Forza Horizon. For this game it's a perfect mechanic. It's a throwback to the original Hot Pursuit games and NFS games of the '90s. this game is a perfect combination of old school gameplay mechanics and more modern graphics. It's simple, from the structure of its campaign, to the vehicle customization, all the way down to the driving physics. The thing I love most is the fact you can make one of, if not THE deadliest crash (like "busting" a bugatti veryon and watching the car fly down the mountain outside the map) and the dialogue could be something like: "Ticket has been issued" or "Don't mess with the SCPD" after they got absolutely executed from life. On the racer side, the harder races are fun! In the words of UltraViolet; "This game prioritizes winning above all else." Its crazy to think that THIS golden gem released in 2010! Overall, the game is fun and gives a good risk/reward system. The riskier you drive, the faster you get to the good stuff. I'm so glad I got it on discount. The remaster does lose 2 cars. But compare that with the amount of paid content added in for free, its a big woop. Now, I hope that Most wanted 2012 gets remastered.

Of all the NFS games I've played, Hot Pursuit is probably the best. The soundtrack in this game is amazing. I don’t know, for some reason this is exactly what I imagine when I play an NFS game, where I just enjoy the ride without any unnecessary problems. Yes, the game can be a bit crooked in places, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the truly "need for speed" experience. It’s especially interesting to play with other players. There’s even a sense of excitement to come first in a race in multiplayer. This is just a very cool game and for me the best in the series.

what makes this b2d the best is that going into a drift doesnt immediately change your trajectory. Youre always in full control (very important) of your car's trajectory. Every Hot Pursuit event felt like a war, every Time Trial felt like I was living out my car enthusiast fantasies, every Rapid Response made me feel like a badass cop from shows like Starsky & Hutch or Magnum PI. Seacrest County was one of the most beautiful maps ever made for a racing game. As a kid this game was the perfect escape from reality and the closest I was ever going to get to experiencing automotive heaven. Easily one of the best NFS games ever and a personal top 3 of mine alongside Rivals and MW (2005). This was so much better than whatever came afterwards, whether it be The Run or Shift 2. One thing I would like to add in 6:32 for those that wanna play Hot Pursuit 2010 but are photosensitive and are afraid the cop lights might give them epilepsy. It IS possible to turn the police lights off while playing the cop (I do not know if this also applies to when you are a racer chased by cops) but the feature is there for the cop cars so this becomes a non-issue there. Aside from that HP2010 is still one of my all time favourite games and I still play the remaster here and there as the PC version of the original didn't have any of the DLC content, they were literally unavailable for purchase. so for the PC peeps out there, for the full experience, get the Remaster, it plays exactly the same.

@ralphlorenzperolino30549 ай бұрын
The soundtrack was full of indie artists that I've never even talked or heard about. Klaxons are an example. I would say that my man Lupe was in the game's soundtrack with his song Shining Down, after 5 years since Tilted from the OG Most Wanted. Also, the fact that a song from one of my fave rappers, Travie McCoy was truly unexpected. Superbad? Like I was amazed to see a song from his album Lazarus (which Billionaire ft. Bruno Mars is in) is featured in Hot Pursuit. Chiddy Bang however, I wouldn't call him an indie artist because he was soooo popular back in the 2000's.

The police models are fictional, but you can drive all three of them and take out players with force the same way as in Hot Pursuit.

When it comes to the modern Need for Speed games, this one is definitely my favorite because the 90s Need for Speed games are my favorites in the entire series. That being said though, I think the game should’ve been called “Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 3.” Because if the game is supposed to be a reboot, I don’t think it does it as well as it should because it doesn’t have everything that made the original game great. Sure, the core gameplay is fantastic. But it’s still missing split screen multiplayer, and I especially think they also should’ve included the 90s Need for Speed soundtracks in the game. (at least as DLC) I can understand certain cars not returning, but I really don’t get why they won’t include all of the classic tunes from the 90s that aren’t even licensed. In fact, they really should’ve been on Spotify by now.

It's definitely made with the wheel in mind without a doubt. The game had a fantastic feedback loop, where you earn money during the day and xp during the night. The catch is that you can have all that money from day races but you have to earn xp at night to unlock better performance parts, but the cops are almost always after you at night and you have to escape them and make it back to a safehouse to cash in the xp earned that night, and if the cops catch you during night you lose all the cash you saved up during the day and the xp you earned that night. It is always really intense and very rewarding when you pull it off! The cosmetic customization is about as good as it gets, the likes of which I have only ever seen in Midnight Club LA. The best part (and this is where the wheel comes in) is whenever you upgrade performance parts you can feel every little change in the feedback in the wheel! The satisfaction of fully customizing all the cosmetics and parts, and being able to feel every tweak in the wheel truly makes your cars feel like they are personally yours. The story is not great but not bad either. The customization and personalization is top-notch and makes every play session feel special. I put on some Spanish House music on Spotify and can race for hours. If you have a wheel then this game is a MUST! If you tried it with a controller I strongly suggest trying it again with a wheel if you ever get the chance. Play your own music and it's like you are street racing in your own freaking tricked out car! C'mon y'all!

Hot pursuit isn't a bad game at all, it's amazing, but it did irepairable damage to the series. On its own, it's one of my favorite nfs games

I added the remaster on my switch, it is a fun game but does require some patience. overall an easy one to pick and start playing. great review as usual!

I remember I got this game on Christmas when I was 10 and I spent countless hours on it. Maybe I should pick it back up and start playing it again.

Graphics and audio are great,music awesome of course ,I finally played it after many year it was released . Unfortunately it doesn’t compare one bit ,even with the older hot pursuit games ,handling model is horrible ,game’s buggy on so many level s and if you notice when you start playing for the first time it tells you “replay value” well that’s true because like NFS The run you will replay the race a million times ,most races feel repetitive but the main reason you will replay is because you’ll crash ,either because the car handles like a brick or steering bugged and all of a sudden pulls to a random direction. Traffic as always placed in worse situations ,spamming when the race is finally fun causing you to crash and ruining the experience ,compared to Underground is horrible ,at least in both Underground games you can use skill and experience to avoid traffic ,in here the car’s steering becomes even more stiff and pulls towards the traffic ,so you either hit the traffic or press the handle-brake and steer into the wall ,that unless the steering bugs and pulls anywhere it wants to lol. For old school players it can be enjoyable ,I mean even for me who finally played it after so many years , I lover the “The Ultimate Road Car” race ,after completing it I played it again but for newer younger players who get the game it’s probably a “meh” and an annoyance compared to other racing games that are out there .

I consider this the last really good nfs game pretty much every game after this one just didn't do it for me although some do have their highlights they just didnt hit the mark like the ones before 2010 (excluding undercover) and by this point i completely abandoned the franchise and moved on to forza and the crew its sad to see a franchise i cherish so much ending up like it is now

Superb video as usual Mr Shed. However, I’m quite sure there’s a playable police mode in NFS Most Wanted 5-1-0 on the PSP. Which came out in about 2006 I think.

4:16 I agree with your friend, this game sucks. Hated it when it came out in 2010, played the remaster least year, still don't like it.
