You are so creative! It's inspiring watching you do these amazing lighting effects. You have the patience of a saint. Lol.

Those walls are a stroke of genious ! That's what i love about building models,it's the problem solving creativity that makes the final completed model so satisfying. When someone says why bother building a kit when you can just buy a diecast model,they just don't get why you want to build ,it's that indivdual attention to detail that mass production can't match.

I should probably throw all my models away. This series keeps getting more insane. Incredible job!

When I see how you manage and find a solution to "the biggest issue" concerning this kit, I understand why you have so fantastic end results. Thank you for work in progress video. Impatient to see this Jupiter ship completed, fully lit, and displayed. It will be marvelous for sure!

You put so much detail into that I’m waiting for somebody to yell left off! I can’t wait to get my own Mobius Jupiter 2,Is it possible with all the detail parts to get part numbers and where are you ordered them from?
@modelsbychris3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, as far as 3rd party parts go, the model and additional parts were supplied by my client, so I have no idea where they came from. I only dealt with the LEDs and electronics to light the model. The fusion ring light was provided by my client. The LEDs were just standard 3mm LEDs and 0402 SMD LEDs.

Another great video Chris. Do you think your client will allow you to video his reaction to seeing the final product?

Greag solution , the walls look really good, lots of work, just wondering if it would have easier if you made the parts out of clear styriene?
@modelsbychris4 жыл бұрын
Not really, since there's nothing clear anyway. Still would've had to paint them just the same. And white is actually better in this case for light blocking. Probably would've needed more coats of paint with clear.

hay cris what was the wall beam light program you made. and for the alarm. thanks
@modelsbychris2 жыл бұрын
It was code for the Trinket. I actually do not have it anymore. I lost the files during my move and rebuilding a new computer. 😒

do they make a soderless connector for this type and size led strip ?
@modelsbychris2 жыл бұрын
I don't believe so. It's the only strip this size I've ever found

What is the circuit you are using to pulse the wall beams?
@modelsbychris4 жыл бұрын
I'm using an Adafruit Trinket. I'll get a little more into all of that in a later video

@@modelsbychris thanks! By the way could you build a fading wall beam circuit for me?
@j1035ak4 жыл бұрын
Oh by the way the raised area on the wall beams are called Chrevron's.

But honey, a 3D printer and a glowforge type laser cutter will take less time than scratch builds so I can spend more time with the family and helping out around the house.
@paulgee43366 ай бұрын
You needed a Dremel Router to route out the pieces level.
@erikgold683 жыл бұрын
Couldn't that lighted front end of the support walls simply be a reflection of studio strobe lighting?
@modelsbychris3 жыл бұрын
There is someone who made reflective material that would go along the beams, but it's just not the same. And you need a light source to make the reflection. The LED strips made for a nice smooth pulsing motion of the lighting.
