I love to play all the great games, so i am, of course, years behind right now. I have rolled credits on 28 games this year but will never catch up. Just a few i beat this year are Star Wars Jedi Survivor, Mad Max, Assassins Creed Oddessy, Yakuza the man who erased his name. Im currently trying to beat Diablo 4, hogwarts legacy, and Horizon forbidden West. My backlog will never shrink. This is crazy

A used to game on Playstation, Xbox, PC and Switch. It ends up too much, so now a just focus on Xbox as that has best upcoming line up, maybe pick up a Switch 2 as a secondary device as Nintendo knock it out the park with there exclusives.

Xbox has 40 studios, many of them with multiple teams. So even if they release all those announced games, over the next 2-3 years, they still have plenty of games coming down the pipeline. games like Psychonauts 3, Overwatch 3 (?), the new Halo, etc. Plus, Xbox shouldn't worry about GTA6, because it's not releasing on PC right away. So a game like Fable, could really fill that void.

I had a buddy telling me no matter what he couldn't kill the monsters he just got wrecked again and again and I asked if he put oil on his silver sword and he said "you can use the other sword" smh 🤦 yep once I explained that and to use decoctions potions and meditate he fell in love with it

As someone who is always behind on their backlog of games, I don't think it'll matter if Xbox keeps all their planned 2025 games. It means I'll always have something to play, and in the end it's a strategy that might keep people subscribed to gamepass for longer periods at a time.

The problem here isn't if the hard core fans (probably 3%) of the Xbox fans will leave the problem is why would the casual who is just getting into gaming pick an Xbox and why should the gamers who are not well off enough to get two consoles choose an xbox and how less competitive it's makes the gaming industry. This strategy is perfect for short term growth but for long-term your hardware still needs to be valuable so you don't have to rely on other hardwares fully. No matter where gaming goes being it cloud or whatever you're always going to need a hardware the question is who owns that hardware you or your competitors?

It does make sense releasing Fable in 2025. If Perfect Dark, Gears E Day, State of Decay 3 are coming in 2026 and who knows what else (like something Halo related coz of the 25 years anniversary or smaller titles) what makes Magg think 2026 will be less crowded to delay Fable? And let's not forget that COD, Doom and Outer Worlds will be day one multiplatform so they have to release something big exclusive or at least time exclusive in 2025...

So long as Fable is polished and definitely has character choice as you and Jez have said, then I would say Xbox should release Fable in mid to late April. People will buy it, RDR1 and GTAIV did just that, and we know how they sold. Xbox does a deep dive, directors thing late January, and shows Fable is ready and releases it a little more than 3 months later. People will be coming off of Avowed and other games, late April looks clear.

I have no problem with Ciri being the main character. When I hear most people’s problem is not with that, but with the lore. Ciri is a female and witchers cannot be females. And in the books she is not a Witcher. She can’t drink the potions etc. I believe people are mad because they are changing the story from the books and the Lord, just like the whole reason Henry Cavill left Netflix because their writers were changing it which people hated

I literally got rid of my ps5 in favor of the series x. Had both consoles for qell ovwe a year but spent most if not all my time on the series x. Even though my ecosystem was heavily on the Playstation side, it didnt matter. Wasnt a fan of the changes that took place ans the remasters turned me off, i know it was a phase but it was long enough to keep me away. Lookijg over there today and it still doesnt feel like the decision i made was bad.

First time ive disagreed with mag. Lots of players will not touch GTA or COD and only want to play player choice rpgs. Avowed, outerworlds, Fable. to keep me subscribed for a whole year they have to release at minimum 3….back in the day we would get 6 great RPGs or more in a year. Not anymore and thats a problem. Maybe thats why alot of people (like me) just play competitive online games because it feels like theres nothing for us these past couple years (except balders gate) and thats the thing not all of us achievement hunt and play everything. Alot of people are sitting dormant until they release what we want

Lets not forget that GTA 6 is only releasing on Consoles and it takes time for it to be ported to PC. So the whole PC market will need to have something to play. And Fable being a huge Exclusive might just bridge that gap. 1:41:45

I enjoyed your stream guys… I am looking forward to Fable and I don’t feel that it has to be moved for grand theft auto.. It’s a different genre so quite sure it will still do well. That’s the great thing of Xbox they have just a great range of games.. Xbox will get a lot more subscribers with games like fable. I appreciate games like grand theft auto but for me I rather fable any day… I am looking forward to Avowed and outer worlds 2 more than GTA6 but that’s just me… I am sure there are more people like me too. Why buy xbox when I can get PS and play all of the games there instead of missing out on PS games with xbox. I do think xbox is using a losing strategy for the long term. Dude I can't believe how many times I have heard people bring up Contraband and predict for it to be shown at every single Xbox show. We have never seen jack shit from Contraband, even the initial trailer was nothing. Literally just was a 30 second CGI trailer that has Cue Cards that have some generic video game illistrative words on them. Its been missing, n really hasnt ever even showed up at all, and yeah I know people have tested it... but I feel like Contraband is almost a canceled project

The only way I stay is if the next console gives me access to my steam account otherwise I'll go pc. Otherwise there's no need to buy the next console. it just does not make logical sense to me to stay on a platform that gives all its competitors all of their games. edit: im still going through the podcast and your comment about adding to is correct, I won't get rid of my xbox series x but I'd likely play my games on pc going forward into the next "generation".

With virtual machine and hypervisor technology I believe Microsoft will find a way to create a pick up and play approach to PC gaming while avoiding the pitfalls of enterprise windows because when it comes down to it we are all gaming on an OS designed for work and business and we really don't have another option Mac is getting more games every week it seems but no where near the level of Windows and then there is the Game Preservation issue the only way to play older titles is with Windows continuing their BC/FC efforts but it's clear they need to do much more much better and with hiring Former Windows OEM director Roanne Sones to work under Xbox Pres. Sarah Bond and Xbox Architect Jason Ronald they have some very capable pros set to task we will see if they succeed
